Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose Discuss Their Relationship On MTV’s RapFix

“OMG! He’s letting me talk. I never got to talk when I was with that other guy”
I can imagine the thoughts that were running through Amber Rose’s mind when Sway asked her if she’d come sit on the couch with Wiz Khalifa during his recent interview with MTV’s RapFix. She seemed to be at a lost for words at first, occasionally glancing at Wiz, to make sure it was alright for her to finally speak up. The two, who are becoming Hip Hop’s leading couple of PDA (public displays of affection), don’t hold back when it comes to posting photos of themselves cuddling or touching tongues so it was only right that she’d be able to confess her love in an interview.
After Wiz gave the okay, (“It’s completely up to her”), Amber joined Wiz for a few moments to discuss their publicized relationship.

Wiz On Why He Doesn’t Hide His Relationship With Amber
I’m me, that’s what it is. I’m completely comfortable with everything about me in my life. That’s what my career has been built off of…everybody gets that right away. You don’t gotta find nothing about me. I’m not going to hide it, I’m going to completely embrace it … I just go after what I feel and I have no problem with being public or just letting people know what’s going on with me, for Real, for real.
Wiz On How He Deals With Backlash
We just stay positive with each other, that’s the important thing. The game will try to tear you down and try to make you feel like what you have already isn’t enough. So as long as we stay positive …we just met each other, we’re really new but we’re very, very close. We understand each other’s life and stuff like that…what we’ve been through. Understanding is really, really important.
Amber On What She Thought of Wiz When She First Met Him
Well, he’s really funny, he’s really charming and I didn’t know much about his music at first but obviously, he became a good friend. I started listening to his music and we became really close and he’s just awesome. He’s talented, he’s amazing.

Carmelo Anthony Unveils Boost Mobile Billboard

When Carmelo Anthony signed with the New York Knicks, many believed that his opportunities to gain endorsement income would increase greatly with his new team; and they were right.
Carmelo has recently signed an endorsement deal with Boost Mobile, who will focus their marketing mainly in the Big Apple, beginning with a 128-foot tall billboard of Carmelo on 33rd and Ninth Ave. When his son Kiyan first saw the ad, he reportedly said:

“Daddy, you’re taller than the building.”

This isn’t Carmelo’s first time at a big time ad; his Brand Jordan billboard is on 34th and Seventh Ave., not too far from his current Boost Mobile feature. Carmelo says:

“It was crazy for me to see the Jordan one. It was right there in the middle of everything. Then to see this one, I can’t really put it into words.”

Jada Pinkett-Smith Doesn’t Believe Her Kids Are Growing Up Too Fast

Actress Jada Pinket-Smith has caught quite a bit of flack ever since her pre-pubescent children, 10-year-old singer Willow and 12-year-old actor/rapper Jaden have taken the entertainment industry by storm in what seems like an overnight success. Though some believe that the children are being exposed to the industry too young, Jada doesn’t see anything wrong with her kids making their own choices and expressing themselves creatively.
The 39-year-old Hawthorne actress claims that her family is her main priority, and she’ has learned to put her work second to home life.

“I see my children as little people, not necessarily people to control. You’ve got to help them develop and become individuals. You have to find out who they are but enforce boundaries to keep them safe. [Willow]’s simply being creative. I’m not worried about her growing up too soon.[...]I’m very clear about what my priority is and that’s my family. I used to struggle juggling work and family at the beginning. It’s hard when you change from being single to being married to being a mother. But now I’m turning 40, I’ve found a peaceful compromise. I feel very content.”

Eminem Lawsuit May Change The Industry Forever

the company that originally signedEminem filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Groupthat may help artists get more money from digital sales.

Em's original contract stated that individual songs sold online would count as a license rather than a sale.

A license would pay the artist 50 percent of the song while a sale would only relinquish 12 percent, which is what the Detroit rapper was being paid.

The Supreme Court ruled against the appeal filed by UMG since they lost the case last year and now what is estimated to be around a $20 million value in unpaid royalties shall increase to somewhere around $50 million. decade.

The language in that paperwork may only be granting some singers, rappers and musicians a sale royalty rate instead of a licensing one that would increase their income.

Wiz Khalifa Celebrates Album Release With Amber Rose

In celebration of the release of the new album “Rolling Papers”, Wiz Khalifa held a bowling party in conjunction with Power 105.1 at Chelsea Piers last night in New York. His boo piece Amber Rose, and her matching Chuck Taylor’s were also on deck for the bowling festivities.

Ciara: “I Never Really Managed To Take Time & Enjoy My Life”

Ciara looked cute and casual last night while sitting sidelines as the Knicks took on the Orlando Magic last night at Madison Square Garden.  Although, fans may be wondering what is her next move after publicly expressing that she wants to be released from her label, Ciara is taking the time to relax and enjoy life while building her empire. She recently told Yahoo Australia:

“Right now, I am in the process of letting things fall how they are supposed to. It may sound crazy to you, but I have never really managed to take time for me and to enjoy my life and enjoy the benefits I have been blessed with”.
“I want to look back five years from now and be happy I have set up the proper building blocks for my business to run on, even if I don’t want to perform. I am working hard on every aspect of my career, from who I am as a performer to making music, TV and films. From my perspective, my goal is to do more than just perform. To use the platform I have been given to turn it into something more, to do something different.”

Ciara’s plans for her empire outside of music include a successful modeling career, acting in TV & Film, a clothing line and her own talent school.
In the meantime, she is gearing up for another show in Perth, Australia on April 10th.  She will be performing at Supafest alongside a crazy line up that includes Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Bow Wow, Keri Hilson, the New Boyz and more. 

Jay-z and The Kentucky Wildcats

Jay-z was spotted in the Kentucky Wildcats locker room on Sunday as they celebrated a big win against the North Carolina tarheels for a spot in the Final Four. Looks like he may be trying to get early dibs on players for the Nets 
Darius Miller recounted his experience meeting Jay in the locker room during the press conference:

That was crazy, I had to do a double take. I didn’t expect that at all. I just had to get a picture with him. That in itself was a pretty nice experience to add on to [the Final Four]. Going to the Final Four [is bigger] by far. But still, Jay-Z. It’s crazy. This whole day has been crazy. I’m still taking it all in.”

Teammate Terrence Jones added:

“I said, ‘Oh that’s Jay-Z! We all gave him a handshake and he came in the locker room, and we just kept screaming ‘Jay-Z in the locker room!’ He congratulated us, just said he was proud of us.”

Beyonce Finally Announces That Mathew Knowles Is No Longer Her Manager..

Today, Beyonce’s publicist finally revealed that Bey and her father Mathew Knowles have parted ways on a “business level”. In a statement to the Associated Press, Beyonce says that she is grateful for the role that he has had in her career and that she still has love for her father. “He is my father for life and I love my dad dearly“.
Who didn’t see this coming?
Over the past few years, former Destiny’s Child members Kelly and Michelle jumped, what looked like a sinking ship, over at Music World Entertainment. Ever since the media started focusing on Mathew’s infidelities and a lovechild that was born last year, we saw less and less of Mathew around Beyonce, which was sort of odd. In June and September of last year, rumors swirled that Beyonce and her father were feuding but those claims were shot down by a rep for Beyonce both times.

Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E Album Lands At #1

Chris Brown’s neighbors better get the ear plugs out because I feel a house party is in order. ha!

Final sales numbers for the week are in and Chris Brown’s “F.A.M.E” album will claim the top spot on Billboard this week with over 273k sold. F.A.M.E is his second highest selling album to date, following the release of Exclusive in 2007, which sold 295k in it’s first week. It’s follow up Graffiti, which was released in 2009, only sold 102k in it’s first week.
What a comeback!
Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson has snagged the #2 spot selling 167k units of her new album “I Remember Me”.

‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Chrissy Lampkin Speaks On Decision To Propose To Jim Jones

Rapper Jim Jones and his boo piece Chrissy, were spotted over the weekend at the Dipset Concert in New York City. Whether you love Chrissy Lampkin or hate her, there is no denying that she is the star of the show when it comes to VH1′s ‘Love & Hip Hop’. She recently chatted it up with us about everything from her decision to propose to Jim Jones to whether she feels threatened by Somaya Reece. Check out some excerpts below:

On her decision to propose to Jim Jones
I did it to let him know that I love him enough and I am proud and happy enough to display that to the world. That’s what that’s about. Eventually, we will get married. Am I rushing it? No. Of course people have opinions about me asking him to marry me, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I love him enough and I wanted to share that. It’s how I felt and what I wanted. You need to know what you’re doing with your life. You need to have direction. If that thing doesn’t happen the traditional way, it still needs to happen. So why waste your time? I figured I would cut to the chase. What are we waiting for?
We talk about it a lot, so it’s not like it was something that wasn’t going to happen. I felt comfortable enough to ask him. It’s not like it was something that was never talked about and I jumped out the window with it. I knew that it was something we both wanted. I didn’t mind being the first one to step up. We’ve been together almost seven years.

On If She’s Ever Come To A Breaking Point in the Relationship
When you think about it–what relationship are you going to find where you’ll be free of any of that. You trade in one set or bullsh*t for another set of bullsh*t. [laughs] It’s about finding the bullsh*t you can live with. Jimmy’s a good guy and he wants to see a smile on my face at all times. I can’t ask for anymore than that. There’s been time when our relationship wasn’t always on the same page. We had talks about it. We’ve realized that we’d rather be together dysfunctional, than apart. Relationships go through stages and you should always be learning and growing. When that stops, you have a problem.

On Being Supported Entirely By Jim Jones
Yeah. He takes good care of me. I don’t care how people take it. I get flack all the time. He’s my man. What–you want him not to? I came up in a time when that’s what men did and aspire to do. What man doesn’t want to take care of his woman?
Do you think you’ll be able to secure an independent financial future?
I have before. My lifestyle has changed now. I was never a person that didn’t have anything. When I met Jimmy, I had my own apartment and car. He’s taken it to a bigger level. I’ll be fine.
On Love and Hip Hop originally being Jim Jones’ show
That’s where it started! [laughs] It was Jimmy’s show. He didn’t want to do a reality show. He didn’t like the idea of them putting him in positions and trying to make him respond to certain things. He wasn’t with the foolery. He shut down on them and told him he wasn’t doing it. I still wanted to do it and he told me that the only way he’d do the show was if they got other things for me to do because he didn’t want them on him all day. He told me he’d be there to support me. That’s when the ball started rolling on finding other girls to do the show. Initially, it was Jimmy’s.

Willow Smith Spotted With Pink & Orange Hair At LAX

She was spotted arriving at LAX Airport this past weekend after wrapping up her first European tour with Justin Bieber. She wrote on her facebook:

Sooo sad we’re leaving! Thank you Justin Bieber for letting me come on my first tour with you! Thank you for taking such great care of me. Well, I am going to be home wishing I was on tour forever! I learned a lot on this trip! Thank you for letting me have such a great experience. We love you and your whole crew!

Although the tour has ended, she still has work to do. This weekend, she is set to perform at the 2011 Kids Choice Awards.
