Katy Perry Wants No Problems Out Of Chief Keef

Katy Perry got a taste of Chief Keef on the radio yesterday and ended up drumming up some Twitter beef with the 17-year-old rapper after she tweeted her disgust with his record.  In the song, “Hate Being Sober,” Chief Keef raps about being anti-sober, while taking molly and rolling up.   He also drops lines like, “My b-tches love drinking, some love smoking, Let my alcoholic b-tch hit the dope, she start choking.” [And this ladies and gentlemen, is what your kids are listening to -_-]

After hearing the track, Katy posted to her Twitter:

Just heard a new song on the radio called “I hate being sober” I now have serious doubt for the world.

Keef caught wind of Katy’s comment and immediately threatened to “smack the s–t” out of her:

His aggressive reply sparked an apology from Katy, who realized real quick that she didn’t want any problems out of the Chicago rapper:

Mr. Keef! I’m sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn’t even know it was you in particular. Actually I’m a fan of your “Don’t Like” video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations desire to be constantly intoxicated.

This isn’t the first time that Chief Keef got caught up in a Twitter beef.  Last year, he threatened to smack Lupe Fiasco after Lupe expressed on the radio:

Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but just the culture that he represents–specifically in Chicago…. The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other and the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who’s doing it and perpetrating it — they all look like Chief Keef.

Chief Keef has since retweeted Katy’s apology and it seems like the beef is squashed for now. Judging from his recent arrest, and child support drama, you’d think he has bigger issues to worry about than a tweet from Katy Perry. And he’s only 17! That’s Crazy!

Big Sean and His Girlfriend Bring PDA To The Red Carpet Premiere Of ‘Hangover 3′

Big Sean and his girlfriend, Glee star Naya Rivera’s recent trip to Hawaii must have added a few sparks to their new relationship. They hit the red carpet premiere of “The Hangover 3″ in Los Angeles last night and couldn’t seem to keep their hands or lips off of each other.

Also spotted on the carpet was Gloria Govan and her hubby Matt Barnes, who have definitely reunited the flame in their relationship after splitting during Basketball Wives LA Season one.

Before Miguel’s freak accident involving a fan at the Billboard Music Awards last night, he was all smiles as he hit the blue carpet with his fierce chick Nazanin.    The lovely couple, dressed in all black, was also spotted at Tao Nightclub on Saturday for Maxim’s Music Weekend party.

Speaking of super hot couples, over in France, Robin Thicke and his beautiful wife Paula Patton were spotted arriving at the 2013 Weinstein Company Cannes Film Festival Party this past weekend. Paula looked amazing in an embellished gown designed by Randa Salamoun which she complemented with Nanis Italian Jewels. 

Wiz Khalifa and his fiancee Amber Rose made their first public appearance together since their new baby was born on the blue carpet of the Billboard Music Awards.  And they were up to their old antics, with Wiz showing Amber affection by licking her head.  Both opted to wear all black, with Amber choosing a loose-fitted dress with sleeves to cover her new ink.

Tyrese And Ludacris Share A Ballsy Secret

Secret just received a major plug from Tyrese and Ludacris!

While promoting their new movie the “Fast and Furious 6,”  the two guys sat down with Jeremy Parsons from ReelzChanel and things got crazy when they started talking about Secret deodorant. During the interview, Luda mentioned that he uses Secret and wasn’t aware that men weren’t allowed to use the deodorant who’s catch phrase is “strong enough for a man, but ph balanced for a woman.” Tyrese, known for his TMI moments,  revealed that he stays fresh by using Secret in two places.

Tyrese: This is too much information, but I’ve been using deodorant — Secret — in both locations **points to arm pits and his manhood** for about seven years. You know cause your legs are just in constant rotation like your arms. I’m serious man. This is the truth.
Ludacris: “Ah, come on. We don’t need to know all that. Tyrese Gibson uses Secret on his balls! Who does that?!”

Let’s just say from that point on the interview turned into nothing but a bunch of guys cracking up and making as many puns about “balls” as they could.

Skylar Diggins Gifted With A Benz As A Graduation Gift From Jay-Z

Last month, Jay-Z and his Roc Nation Sports agency swiped up Weezy’s college basketball crush Skylar Diggins as one of their new talents, and it seems as though they are treating her very well. After Skylar received her degree from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business this weekend, she was gifted with a brand spanking new Mercedes Benz and a handwritten note from Jay.

She shared a photo of the new whip, still wrapped in a bow, on her Instagram with the caption:

Italian Gov’t To Investigate Racism Targeting African Cabinet Member Cecile Kyenge

The Italian government has ordered an inquiry into alleged racism on right-wing websites after slurs against the country’s first black cabinet minister.
Italy’s new Cabinet was sworn in on Sunday, and Cecile Kyenge took the post as minister of integration.
She is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Italy three decades ago. She is now an Italian citizen, is married to an Italian and has two children.
But right-wing websites have posted a range of racial slurs against the country’s first black Cabinet member.
A member of one website described Kyenge as a “Congolese Monkey.”
On Wednesday the government ordered an investigation into the websites. The new equal opportunities minister who ordered the inquiry, Josefa Idem, described the comments as “vile racist epithets.”
Comments about Kyenge’s race have not only appeared online.
Speaking on the radio earlier this week, Italian politician Mario Borghezio from the Northern League party referred to the new government as a “bonga bonga government” and said that Africans “had not produced great genes.”

Kobe Bryant Won’t Buy Parents A House But Bought Mother-In-Law $3 Million Home

 

Earlier this week we told you of Kobe Bryant’s lawsuit against his mother to stop her attempt to auction off $1.5 million worth of his high school memorabilia. Well we now have more insight as to why the Black Mamba’s parents are so strapped for cash…

Sources connected with the Bryant family tell TMZ … the dispute between mother and son erupted over real estate. We’re told Kobe offered to buy his parents a “nice house” in Vegas for significantly less than a million bucks, but they wanted something bigger and more extravagant and Kobe drew a line in the sand and refused to up the ante.
Our sources say Pamela was infuriated and believed Kobe was shortchanging them, especially compared to what he does for Vanessa’s mom, Sofia Laine. Kobe put Sofia up in a $3.2 million house in Newport Beach, CA, which sold recently. After the sale, Kobe moved Sofia to another multi-million dollar mansion nearby.
From Kobe’s perspective, our sources say he’s really upset because he believes he’s stepped up for years, by giving his parents millions of dollars and buying them homes and cars.
This feud has been brewing for years … dating back to when Kobe’s parents went ballistic when he married Vanessa without a prenup.

While Rihanna is clear across the country twerkin’ it out on stage for her ‘Diamonds’ world tour, her blonde-haired boo-thang Chris Breezy was spotted out and about in Lala land partying it up at his pre-birthday bash with none other than his ex Karrueche.

Chris Brown has never been one to follow traditional dating codes. For example, his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was in attendance for his Los Angeles birthday party on May 3 at the Emerson Theatre while his current girlfriend Rihanna was all the way on the other coast.
The R&B singer rolled into the Emerson to celebrate his 24th birthday (it’s the first party of many this weekend). He was looking suave and casual in khakis and an open button-down shirt, as he welcomed a ton of big stars to his b-day soiree. Christina Milian and David Hasselhoff were just a few celebs that were in attendance.
Not to mention Karrueche. Chris’ ex hit the Emerson for the birthday bash wearing a short black dress, an edgy denim jacket, and a pair of loud, white fringed boots.

But while it might seem given that Rih would be none-too-happy about Breezy bottle poppin’ with his ex, sources from their camps allegedly claim that Rih aint got no worries when it comes to Chris and Karrueche’s “friendship.”

Rihanna was all the way on the East Coast because of her “Diamonds” tour, and while any girlfriend might get nervous about their man partying with an ex, this is nothing new for Chris, RiRi, and KT.
Since Rihanna and Chris started dating again, Chris has been seen partying with his ex from time to time, but HollywoodLife.com has reported EXCLUSIVELY that it’s not really an issue for the couple. “They’re cool friends,” a source said about Chris and Karrueche, adding that he and Rihanna are “into each other way too f**king much” for something so small like this to break them up.

Usher Losing 25 Pounds In Order To Play Sugar Ray Leonard In New Film

Grammy-winning singer Usher believes his dancing skills will help him in his upcoming role as Sugar Ray Leonard in “Hands of Stone,” a new boxing film about the great brawler Roberto Duran.
Usher said he has been preparing to play Leonard – a fighter with fast hands, smooth feet and a wide smile – for more than a year and still needs to lose nearly 25 pounds before shooting begins in October.
The movie is based on Duran, a world champion in four weight divisions over a career that spanned five decades. Duran, whose nickname was “Hands of Stone,” rose from the slums of Panama to defeat an unbeaten Leonard in 1980 and claim the WBC welterweight title, only to lose the rematch several months later in the infamous “no mas” fight.
Usher said he was honored to play Leonard in the film.
“You couldn’t find a more stylized boxer than Sugar Ray Leonard,” Usher said by telephone. “He was an incredible motion guy, the way he moved around the ring, and I think my dancing will make it easier for me to pick up his moves. I’ve been working on familiarizing myself with the ring, sparring and just understanding how to move in the ring.”
The role will mean dropping some weight. Usher said he’s currently about 172 pounds but will need to get down to about 150.

Mario Chalmers’ Baby Mama Wants More Child Support Now That He Makes More Money

In the wake of new skirmishes between Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife first reported last week by Gossip Extra, Mario Chalmers has become the second Heat star dealing with domestic unpleasantries as the team shoots for its second consecutive championship.
Chalmers was ordered by a Miami-Dade County family judge to give up his financial documents during a hearing on Thursday. Chalmers, 26, has 30 days to make it happen. By then, the team could be in the league finals.
The hearing was called in the re-opening of a 2011 paternity and child support lawsuit brought by Chalmers’ longtime girlfriend when he played for the University of Kansas.
The case was originally closed in January 2012, when Chalmers was found to be the father of a now three-year-old girl named Queen Elizabeth Chalmers. Chalmers signed off on a child support deal with mom Brittany Burrough, whom he currently pays $2,600-a-month.
Now, however, he’s making much more after he received a three-year contract extension.
“Mr. Chalmers has been a gentlemen and has been paying as agreed,” said Burrough’s lawyer, Roger Schindler. “But Mr. Chalmers is also a very talented athlete whose income has substantially grown since that agreement.”
Actually, it grew at least fourfold — to $4 million a year!
“We’re asking for a modification of the child support agreement to something that’s fair to both parties,” Schindler said.

Lil Wayne Dropped From Mountain Dew, Al Sharpton Hopes It’s A Teaching Moment For Rappers

Inappropriate lyrics are causing rappers millions of dollars. The corporate companies that back them with big bucks are jumping ship quick!

Just weeks after Reebok dropped Rick Ross over his “molly” lyrics, Mountain Dew has now kicked Lil Wayne to the curb over his lyrics referencing civil rights figure Emmitt Til. The Mountain Dew DeWeezy deal was Wayne’s first major endorsement deal, and was orchestrated around the same time that Pepsi picked up Nicki Minaj for their global “Live For Now” campaign (which was later dropped when she signed on to Coca Cola sponsored American Idol.)

Earlier this week, after Emmitt’s family called for the PepsiCo company to nix Wayne’s endorsement deal, Wayne issued a semi-apology, which was rejected by the Tills.

“While it’s commendable that he has vowed to respect the legacy of Emmett Till and his memory to ‘not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in his music,’ this statement falls short of an apology, as none is mentioned.”

Meanwhile, Al Sharpton, who has been trying to arrange a sit-down with The Till Family, Lil Wayne and PepsiCo, says he hopes that the latest decision by Mountain Dew and Reebok is not looked at as punishment, but as a teaching moment for rappers.

Otherwise we’re just waiting on the next train crash instead of trying to really resolve our problem and learn from these experiences and set a tone in the country that’s healthy for everybody.

These companies pulling the plug on their deals with Wayne and Rick Ross will unfortunately affect other rappers.  Corporate companies are going to be more afraid to give Hip Hop a chance, moving forward, in fear that something like this will happen again.

Django Unchained: Will Smith Opens Up About Turning Down Role

Will Smith plays second fiddle to no one!

There has been much speculation on why Will Smith passed on Django Unchained after director Quentin Tarantino publicly stated that Smith was his first choice for the title role.

In an interview with EW, the actor set things straight saying that he turned down the role because he would have been a supporting actor to Christoph Waltz’s lead. “Django wasn’t the lead, so it was like, I need to be the lead. The other character was the lead!”

In the interview it was recorded that Smith pleaded with Tarantino to let Django be the central character in the story. “I was like, ‘No, Quentin, please, I need to kill the bad guy!’”

Ultimately Waltzs won the Academy Award for “Best Supporting Actor” for his role in Django and Jamie Foxx, who was Tarantino’s second choice, didn’t even receive a nomination.

Smith may come off pompous and/or spoiled, but look at it like this: his movies have earned over 5.7 billion worldwide. Though Smith has never won an Academy Award, nobody on the Django cast has that kind of box office dominance. Smith playing a supporting role in a movie would be like Michael Jordan starting the basketball game on the bench. To Smith’s point about having to kill the bad guy; Django needed to kill the ultimate bad guy. He’s the Hero. In the final version he didn’t, and it was awkward that he didn’t. It reminded me of The Dark Knight Rises when all I wanted to see was Batman defeat the supreme bad guy, Bane. However, when Catwoman kills Bane, I felt cheated.

In the End, there was no love lost between Tarantino and Smith. “I thought it was brilliant, Smith said. Just not for me.”

Jamie Foxx Negotiates Part in Jay-Z’s Annie Remake

Jay-Z’s Annie remake is still trying to put a cast together.  12-year-old Willow Smith recently exited the lead role and Southern Wild’s Quvenzhané Wallis had to step up to replace her.

Now Jamie Foxx is reportedly in talks with Sony Pictures to play Benjamin Stacks in the modern retelling of the Broadway classic, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Stacks is a modernized variation of the Daddy Warbucks character who helps the iconic orphan search for her parents.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith will serve alongside Jay-Z as an executive producer of the upcoming film, as does her mother. Will Gluck (Friends With Benefits, Easy A) is directing the feature, which is expected to begin filming late in fall 2013 and hit theaters in 2014.

Foxx has had a healthy relationship with Sony. He’s currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in which he plays villain Electro, and will stars as the president in the studio’s upcoming film White House Down, which debuts in theaters June 28.

Michael B. Jordan Might be the New Human Torch

Michael B. Jordan is one of the actors to watch. After searing himself into the memories of smart television viewers everywhere with his tragic character Wallace on Greatest TV Show Ever The Wire, he went on to show promise in Friday Night Lights and have a bit role in the surprising hit Chronicle. And you’ll be hearing a lot more about him this year, as he stars in festival smash Fruitvale Station. It is very possible he’ll be getting an Oscar nomination for that one, if the Weinsteins have anything to say about it.

Now Chronicle director Josh Trank is set to direct the reboot of Fantastic Four, and with a March 2015 release date looming, he’s got to get his stuff together. Rumors have already swirled that Girls star Alison Williams is being courted to play the Invisible Woman, and now rumor has it that Trank wants Jordan to play Johnny Storm, AKA The Human Torch.

This would be objectively terrific. As in, you can empirically, scientifically verify that it would be terrific. Jordan is a great young actor utterly deserving of wider recognition, and I think he would nail this. Plus, it would piss off racists, and that’s always a plus. Remember when Donald Glover started his jokey campaign to play Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man, and everyone laughed until they realized how perfect he was for the role, and then it went to Andrew Garfield instead and the movie ended up being a piece of trash? Let’s not let that happen again.

I mean, I’m not saying that not casting Jordan will automatically make the movie suck. I’m just saying that it’s in the best interest of the money people here to cast a great actor in the role. Plus, the lily-white field of superherodom needs diversifying.

A group of “expert” scientists and mathematicians from Oxford University are speaking out to support the long-standing mythical theory that the human race may soon be no more.

A team of mathematicians, philosophers and scientists at Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute say there is ever-increasing evidence that the human race’s reliance on technology could, in fact, lead to its demise.
The group has a forthcoming paper entitled “Existential Risk Prevention as Global Priority,” arguing that we face a real risk to our own existence. And not a slow demise in some distant, theoretical future. The end could come as soon as the next century.
“There is a great race on between humanity’s technological powers and our wisdom to use those powers well,” institute director Nick Bostrom told MSN. “I’m worried that the former will pull too far ahead.”
