50 Cent Denounces Congressman Lamborn

50 Cent recently spoke out over racists statements that were levied towards President Obama by RepublicanCongressman Doug Lamborn who labeled the Commander In Chief as a "tar baby” in a recent interview.

Though Lamborn recently recanted his statement, Fif didn't think Lamborn's apology was enough Tweeting,

“Republican congressman Doug Lamborn should be re leaved of his duties after calling president Obama a tar baby,” he wrote.

“Tar baby is a synonym for n*gger, except it is only used in bigoted manners, were as n*gga can be a sign of respect.”

“The term comes from a children's story in witch they explain that slaves were"dark and dumb"due to the fact they were" baptized in TAR" #SK.”

“I can't find a more disrespectful or ignorant way to describe the race or depiction of our president,” he added.

Lamborn recently told a Denver radio show host,

"I don't even want to have to be associated with [Obama]. It's like touching a 'tar baby.'"

The Colorado representative has since released a public apology for his racial slur.

Diddy's Son Justin Shows Signs Of Being Scouted By Top Notch Colleges For Football

Justin Combs is just 16, but he's already making a name for himself in the sports world.

Justin is the teen son of hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, and is becoming known in the minds of football scouts around the country as a prospect for Division 1 football.

After winning a national honor and securing BCS level scholarship offers, the Iona Prep student's future looks bright.

He earned Scout.com All-Tournament honors at the New Level 7-on-7 National Championship after a strong performance locking down some of the nation's top receivers.

However, according to a story from Fox Sports' Scout.com, tough critics are saying his famous name is the only reason young Justin is getting his break.

Justin isn't letting them bother him though. Instead, he says he uses those doubts to motivate himself to silence those critics.

"Ever since I was young, my father always told me that people were going to have something to say," Combs told Scout.com. "At the end of the day, it is all fun and games to try to get you out of your game, but you just have to stay mentally strong and be able to play through it.

"You just shut them up with your ability on the field. Just play and your game will speak for itself. That is the way I feel."

Right now is an exciting time for the young son of Diddy. Illinois gave him offers from two BCS-level programs, and he plans to visit the campus soon.

Other schools include Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State and even UCLA, Arizona State and also Cincinnati have shown interest, but said they'd get back to him.

RZA Speaks On Kanye Reaching Out To Him For Watch The Throne

Wu-Tang Clan's RZA has opened up about his contribution to the upcoming Watch the Thronealbum and revealed how Kanye West waved the Wu flag at him while working in China.

According to RZA, Ye reached out to him while on set of actor Russell Crowe's upcoming Man With The Iron Fistsfilm.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, RZA recalled the scenario by saying:

"Kanye asked me to send tracks while they were in Australia," RZA revealed in an interview. "I just thought I would send some sh*t that would be rugged. I know they can find the poppy, hip-hop places, but I wanted to send them some real edgy sh*t. Apparently they thought they were great - Kanye said, 'Send some more of that Wu sh*t!' 

In the past, when Jay-Z did Best of Both Worlds with R. Kelly, I thought it was a great album but the campaign went south because of personalities. With this project, it's the best of many worlds. These two guys have a great chemistry and a great relationship. I'm excited."

Drake Says "Take Care" Is His Best Project Yet & "Headlines" Is Not The Best Track [Video]

Erika from Billboard caught up with Drake after his OVO Fest for some details on his awaited sophomore LP, Take Care.

Admittedly, he says the new single “Headlines” isn't his best work on the project.

“By no means is it the best song on my album, it's really just the song for this moment, right now,” Drake tells Billboard.com's The Juice of his first single, “Headlines.” After blazing through one of his best shows at the 2nd Annual OVO Festival, in Toronto on Sunday (July 31), Drake talked to The Juice on “Headlines,” released the morning of OVO Fest, and said his sophomore album, “Take Care,” is his “best project.”

Continuing to speak on his album, Drake made sue to speak n the content of his album.

“I always try to put forth a song with a message. A lot of people pick their single by what's the strongest song. I don't really do that. I like to make sure that the content is very relevant to right now. "I want people to party to it but at the same time the fans, the people that care about my career, the people that follow me, will hear a message in it.”

Drake also spoke on why he believe this is his best project.

“This is really, in my opinion, my best project,” Drake says. “There's a lot of songs on it. Although people encourage me like, ‘Oh, do 11, 12 songs,' I think there's going to be probably 18 songs on it. It's very reminiscent of ‘So Far Gone' but the production has stepped up like 10 notches. I feel like I've gotten better at rapping, so I'm really excited for people to hear the bars.”

Congratulations may be in order for Janet Jackson who reportedly has let billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al-Mana put a 15-carat ring on it!!!

According to reports:

The singer’s boyfriend, bil­lionaire Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, recently popped the question, and now the happy couple is planning an end-of-the-year marriage ceremony.

“Janet is head over heels in love with Wissam,” said a close source.

“He’s showered her with love, expensive presents and boosted her self-esteem by helping her lose weight and shape up.”

Wissam, 36, first brought up a walk down the aisle last fall, when he reportedly presented the Jackson clan beauty with a magnificent 15-carat diamond ring.

But Janet, 45, wasn’t ready because she wanted to focus on preparations for her currentconcert tour, which runs into September.

“Now Janet’s telling friends that an official engage­ment announcement will come by summer’s end, and that she and Wissam will marry in late 2011 – and they’re shopping for an even biggerdiamond ring to celebrate their official engagement.”

The two are anxious to start a family as soon as possible. Janet would love to have a baby the natural way, but at 45, she’s also looking into adoption possibilities, according to the source.

She met Wissam at a Mid­dle East event in December 2009, and he recently took her to visit his family in Doha, Qatar, according to the source.

Jay-Z Talks Roc Nation Artists’ Album Delays: “You Can’t Come Off The Street And Make A Classic”

While other labels seem to be pushing out albums like they’re filling some sort of quota, Roc Nation has a different method of shaping artists and taking their time on delivering new music. During his impromptu visit to New York radio station Hot 97 yesterday, Jay-Z spoke on the album release delays from Roc Nation and the importance of creating an artist and not just releasing a single:

“J. Cole is pretty close, he’s coming out in September. He’s got a great album. Jay Electronica is working on a great album as well. He’s pretty close. Bridget Kelly just released — her debut song, ‘Thinking About Forever’ — For me, if you’re gonna come sign to Roc Nation, just realize it’s going to take a second. I’m into artists. I’m not really into putting a single out. It takes a minute to build artists. It’s just true. You can’t come off the street and make a classic. Rarely does that happen. Lauryn Hill was in the business for 700 years before she put out the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She had to go through some things. You have to go through some things.”

On that same visit to Hot 97, Jay cleared up rumors that he was beefing with Kanye West, telling DJ Angie Martinez:

“Kanye’s my brother, if there’s ever a problem with us… Yes, we get on each other’s nerves but that’s part of pushing each other… So of course there are times when we’re in the studio, we’re yelling, but that’s about it… I would never disrespect [West]. I have too much respect to put my hands on him.
“We have a healthy respect for one another… It’s always about the art, it’s never about him and me; it’s always about the art.”
“When I woke up to all that [the reports], I was like, you know, we must be really hot right now, it’s happening!

MTV Celebrates 30th Anniversary With Usher

Celebrating MTV’s 30th anniversary, Usher visited the New York Stock Exchange earlier today in a button up and blue sweater to ring the bell for the special occasion.  The popular network premiered on the airwaves on August 1, 1981 with it’s first video, “Video Killed the Radio Star,” by the Buggles.  Thirty years later, you’d be lucky to catch a video on MTV which popularity stems from reality shows like ‘Jersey Shore’ and ‘Teen Mom’. According to Stephen Friedman, President of the network:

That is a different era. It’s a quantum leap. Our audience is not going to wait very long to see a video; they are going to go online. It’s just not in the realm of their reality. We stay true to the brand and the DNA. It doesn’t surprise us that people who grew up [when we launched] 30 years ago say, ‘Whoa, what happened?’ But they are not the audience we are speaking to.

Are Jay-z and Kanye Beefing?

In more ridiculous news than the two calling themselves ‘The Throne’, The NY Post is reporting that Jay-z and Kanye West are getting frustrated with each other while ironing out details of their upcoming tour. “Jay-Z is fed up with West’s antics, he doesn’t even want to be around him.”
According to sources, the root of the issues between Janye are stemming from production costs. Kanye West wants to upstage rock stars with a ‘Flashy’ and elaborate set that could cost over $400,000 a show, however, Jay-z wanted to be more cost effective since he has a very large advance from his long-term obligation with Live Nation to pay back.

“Jay-z can’t deal with Kanye. Jay is a stone-cold businessman. He wants to recoup all of his money from Live Nation. But Kanye wants to upstage rock stars with a blowout show. He doesn’t care about costs. He has a lot less to gain from the shows.”

Janye both appeared at the Highline Ballroom for Young Jeezy’s show last Monday, but surprised many when they appeared separately instead of performing a track from the album together.

“We were expecting them to come out together to perform a track from the album,” a source said. “They didn’t even go out together after the show.”

This sounds like a little squabble that will be over before Jay-z’s next barber visit. (Even though it’s quick to note, Jay-z sent R. Kelly home packing after they beefed during the 2004 ‘Best of Both Worlds’ Tour. He finished out the dates as ‘Jay-z and Special Guests’).
In other news, ‘Watch The Throne’ will be available on Itunes August 8, and the official tour kicks off on September 22nd in Detroit.
