Jay-z Takes The Subway Train To Brooklyn

The subway is the last place you’d expect to see a guy who has immediate access to car service, private jets and helicopters.

On Saturday night, Jay literally stopped traffic as he headed into the Canal Street subway station to catch the R Train to Brooklyn.   Two stops later, emerged from the Atlantic Avenue station and headed across the street to the Barclays Center to the surprise of fans that were waiting outside.

Although the ride was a stuffy one, Jay seemed to be in good spirits while plain clothed officers and security kept the pandemonium in check.

His arrival to the last of his eight shows at the Barclays Center couldn’t have been more unpretentious.

Bow Wow Wants Fellas To Wrap It Up And Avoid Baby Mama Drama

Bow Wow hasn’t been able to stay out of the press ever since his beautiful baby girl was born last Summer. And it’s for all the wrong reasons. From child support woes to baby mama drama, he can’t seem to catch a break but he’s definitely learned his lesson.

Just days after he faced his child’s mother in court and offered to pay her $3000 a month in child support, Bow Wow chatted with Q Deezy of Philly’s 107.9 about his child support situation. According to Bow, he preferred to pay child support so that he could keep his child’s mother out of his business.  He also claims he is not broke (even though he told the judge that he only makes $4000 a month) and he had a message for the fellas who want to avoid the drama that he is going through right now.

Here is the honest truth. I felt like I wanted to be on child support. I felt like that was the best thing for our situation.  I’m sure there’s a lot of men out there listening and their baby mama don’t like the new chick, you know what I’m saying. So for me to move on with my life and let her know that everything is still gravy, I felt like the best thing for us to do was to go about it that way. Which I love it because its confirmed money to my daughter.  So I’m fine with it and I’ve wanted to be on [child support] so that I can live my life and not feel like I’m attached to a woman or that a woman got screens on me. I don’t like that.
On whether he is going through financial problems
Hell no! Sometimes, it’s worth doing it so that you can have that freedom. Ain’t nobody wanting to be dealing with a woman who keeps blowing you up. I’m happy about it and now she can live her life peacefully. She can do whatever she wants to do and date whomever she wants to date and for me, I’m just going to continue on with my career and living life. I’m happy as can be.
For the record, I have no issues with my [baby mama], like not one.  I just want to let all them young fellas out there know that there’s nothing wrong with having a kid but just make sure you have it with the right one. But I love mine and I love my situation but if you don’t want no headache and no issues definitely wrap that thing up.

Karrueche Spotted Partying In Great Spirits, Chris And Rihanna Share Food

There’s no tears on Karrueche’s pillow…and if so, she’s not about to let you have the satisfaction of thinking that she’s devastated by her ex-boo Chris Brown’s latest actions.  Last night, she was glowing as she hit up Greystone Manor in West Hollywood with her bestie Seiko for a girl’s night out   [or 'f--k him girl' party]. Hospitality was provided by promoter Jerry Lorenzo who made sure the girls had all the Henny they could order throughout the night.

Meanwhile, Kae isn’t completely avoiding Chris.  The two were invited guests at Christina Milian and Jas Prince’s Gumbo party over the weekend and both decided to attend despite their public break up.  Who knows what happened inside, but it isn’t much for the two to talk about after Chris’ blasted his dilemma of falling in love with two girls all over the internet. Not to mention an image of the Chris and Rihanna sharing food after the Barclays has emerged..

Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey, Duane & Tisha Campbell Martin & More Celebrate ‘Family Day’

It was ‘Family Day’ this past weekend as Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey drummed up a few of their celeb friends for some good, clean, family fun at Santa Monica Pier.   Taking a break from the American Idol drama of last week, the couple showed up with their adorable twins  Monroe and Moroccan in tow and was later spotted riding various rides and playing games.

Over 2,000 guests came out to the event, including Tisha Campbell & Duane Martin, who brought their kids along, as well as Master P, producer Rodney ‘Dark Child’ Jerkins, actor Flex Alexander and his wife Shanice.

Everyone had a great time enjoying unlimited free rides, face painting, live music and photos while marking October 4th as ‘Family Day.’ Nick said, “We have Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, I’d really like a recognized Family Day – so this is my attempt to make that happen.“

Still Lusting: Nas Admits He Texted His Ex-Wife Kelis Recently To Ask "Can We Make Love Just One More Time?"

 

Nas admitted to missing his ex-wife Kelis so much that he sent her a text message recently asking if they could hook up for at least one night.

"I can't lie I texted [Kelis] the other night and I told her... You know one of them nights you just miss that sh*t? I was like, can we make make love one more time?" the rapper said while performing "Bye Baby" in London October 1st at Under The Bridge.

The 39-year old went on to say that he's still hurt by the break of his marriage according to NME.

"[It] still hurts bad. That pain is real, y'all. That sh*t is real."

Maybe we should have seen this coming after seeing him holding Kelis' wedding dress on the cover of his new album, Life Is Good.

The couple split apart in 2009 after four years of marriage. They have one son together.

Nas admitted to still lusting after Kelis again last night during his performance at Village Underground in London.

Chris Brown Splits With Karrueche: ‘I Don’t Want To See Her Hurt Over My Friendship With Rihanna’

Three’s definitely a crowd when it comes to Chris Brown. This love triangle is officially over.

After stringing his poor girlfriend along for months while he crept around with his ex-flame Rihanna, Chris has finally decided to pull the plug on his relationship. He released a statement to select media outlets earlier today that read:

I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.

How quickly things change. Chris was just spotted with his girlfriend on Sunday before creeping into Rihanna's hotel on Monday night. It seems as though this was probably the best decision for both of them.

Terrence Howard Seduces Oprah

When she’s not soliciting big name celebs to interview for Own’s flagship show, ‘Next Chapter’, Oprah has been down in New Orleans shooting a new Lee Daniels film, titled ‘The Butler’.  And although she plays the wife of Forrest Whitaker’s character, a butler who served 8 presidents over a course of 30 years, it seems as though the spoiler is that her character may be stepping out on the relationship.

This week, Oprah shared a sexy photo of her and Terrence Howard on set that included the caption:

“And THAT’s a Wrap! Terrance Howard and me in our goodbye “love scene”. Thanks Lee Daniels for the great experience. #theButler.”

The Butler’s star studded cast also includes actor Robin Williams, Mariah Carey, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Lenny Kravitz and is scheduled to hit theaters next year.  It is Oprah’s first acting role since ‘Beloved’ over 14 years ago.

Rihanna & Chris Have A Fun Night Out In New York

Has Chris kicked his girl to the curb to go chase Rihanna? He obviously wants that cake..

Just days after Chris Brown was spotted down in Atlanta partying with his girlfriend Karrueche in tow, he was spotted leaving the same New York Hotel as Rihanna.  The former couple were both spotted leaving the Gansevoort hotel, but it is unclear of whether they are both coincidentally staying there or if Chris got caught creeping.

It doesn’t look as though they are keeping a low profile either. On Monday night, they hit up the Griffin and were spotted in VIP together.  According to a source at Page Six, they sat two tables away from each other before Chris made his way over to Rihanna. They eventually started dancing, hugging and kissing in front of everyone before they went off to the bathroom together and when Rihanna reemerged again she looked ruffled (you know, like dirty business went down). They were spotted again together last night at New York Hotspot 1Oak.

Meanwhile, rumors that a Karrueche/Chris Brown split are on the horizon after Karrueche sent a subliminal tweet earlier in the week that said, ‘Life is too short to be anything but happy.’ Hours later, Chris tweeted, ‘Happiness is the one thing I’m never guaranteed….. How can U expect me to guarantee yours?’.   The subliminal tweets continued with Karrueche posting to her twitter, ‘There’s a difference between a man and a boy.  I prefer men’ and when one of her followers responded, ‘Let it go for your own good girl’, she tweeted back, ‘Oh Baby I am’.

After the Chris and Rihanna sighting late Monday night, Karrueche re-iterated her point yesterday when she tweeted, ‘Remember, I said I prefer men’.

[Video] Publicity Stunt? Nicki Minaj Cusses Out Mariah Carey @ American Idol Auditions

When rumors first emerged that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj weren’t getting along on the set of American Idol, it was somewhat hard to believe.  It all seemed like a publicity stunt to promote the new season, especially considering Mariah was one of the first big celebs to reach out to Nicki for a feature [Up out of my face] before her debut album even dropped.  See, that’s love.

Things, however, took a turn for the worse yesterday at the American Idol auditions held in Charlotte which resulted in Nicki Minaj unleashing her alter ego ‘Roman’ on Mimi.  The footage released from the incident, shows Nicki waving her hand around and yelling like an irate mom scolding her two year old while telling Mariah, ‘You think I’m playing? Think it’s a f-cking joke? Say one more disrespectful thing to me?’. She also tells her, ‘You’re insecure running down your resume every five minutes. Every time you take a shot at me, I’m taking one back. I told them I’m not f-cking putting up with your f-cking highness over here’.

The fight allegedly escalated after a day of auditioning and Mariah kept making remarks on how Nicki was judging the contestants, however, I call shenanigans on this whole thing.  This smells like an ‘AI’ stunt from a mile away, considering their ratings have been down and they’ve been rotating out judges to get more viewers. Even still, this is not a good look for a girl that went straight from Southside Jamaica Queens to Pepsi deals and the American Idol Judging table in a matter of a few years. Folks are just waiting for Nicki to ‘f-ck up’..

Bow Wow Dishes On His Gig As One Of The New Hosts of BET’s 106 and Park

And here are your new hosts of BET’s 106 and Park…

Yesterday, after seven years of tuning in to watch Rocsi and Terrence J hold down the stage of BET’s flagship music show, ’106 and Park’ fans tuned in for the shocking announcement that there are now four new hosts that would be taking their place.  The new talent include Detroit Hot 107.5 radio DJ’s Shorty Da Prince and Paigon (who are also coupled up), Howard University Alumni and singer Miss Mykie and Bow Wow.

The addition of Bow Wow received some mixed reactions, especially from fans who wondered if it was a good career move, however he addressed why he believed it was major in a sit down interview after the show.  While speaking on the new gig, he said:

It feels good, it feels refreshing, it feels right. I feel that no other artist could have done anything like this. If another artist were to do something like this, they would think that they fell off or got played and I agree. I think the only reason why I am able to get away with this job, and to add something so major like this to my credentials, is the fact that everyone knows the history of Bow Wow. Not only with BET but 106 and Park. I was like the first artist to really jump it off and create this audience and I’ve been connected with them for 13-14 years. Me being named ‘Mr. 106 and Park’ and not only that, but having the most videos ever retired on BET.  So to have all that, it’s like ‘why not’? It makes sense.  I think for an artist, if you don’t have those connections and never had that type of history and the people didn’t know it, I think they would see it a little different.
I’m in a new city. I’m in New York.  I get to live here. Move around and work with a lot of artists that I’ve been dying to work with. Now they can’t dodge me because they gotta come through my spot.

He continued:

Even if you take the origin of 106 and what it means. Even with Free and AJ, they set the bar so high. BET went through a  transitional stage once they left, then they got Terrence and Rocsi.  After you get four hosts like that that America has loved over the past four years, and that’s all they’ve been seeing, it’s like, ‘Where do you go from there’. [Because people don't like change].  So it’s like, if you change it then make it big. Man, this is big. I’m not saying it because it’s me. It’s big because they’ve never had an artist do something like this before.

Bow Wow says he plans to continue working on music and doing movies, but right now he is focused on the new job.

Chris Brown Hosts Charity Basketball Game @ Morehouse College

While reports of fights, beefs and random foolishness that took place during BET Hip Hop Awards weekend made the most news this week, there were a few positive events that also took place.   On Sunday, Chris Brown took to the court and hosted a celebrity Basketball game with Atlanta radio station, Hot 107.9. Celebs like Waka Flocka, Nelly, Rocsoe Dash, and Shawty Lo battled it out on the court with Breezy’s team taking home the win.

Chris’ girlfriend Karrueche was among the supporters cheering from the sidelines, along with Tiny, Toya Wright, Kevin McCall, Polow Da Don, Kandi, Verse Simmons and more.  Meanwhile, former ’106 and Park’ Host Terrence J was spotted in the lockerroom conducting interviews for his new gig at E! News.

TI Celebrates 32nd Birthday With Private Bash

TI has a lot to smile about nowadays considering he just released a book, has a recurring role on the Starz drama series ‘Boss’, a VH1 reality show and a good woman by his side.  He was spotted looking like a ‘happy camper’ this weekend as he celebrated his 32nd birthday with a private party held after the BET Hip Hop Awards.

From the looks of things, Hannah Kang and her partners over at Music Business Politics, put their foot in the planning of the party which took place at Lee Najjar’s estate off of West Paces. [Lee Najjar was also revealed as Kim Zolciak's 'Big Poppa' during the first few seasons of Real Housewives of Atlanta].  Inside, guests enjoyed the beautiful decor, complete with live mermaids as they sipped on Grey Goose Cherry Noir and enjoyed sounds by DJ Funkmaster Flex.  Celebrity guests included the likes of Diddy, Young Jeezy, BET’s Stephen Hill, KANDI, Miguel, Ed Lover, Trina, Nelly, Big Boi, Kevin Liles, Lil Duval and plenty more.

How cute are Daddy-Daughter moments!

Rapper 2 Chainz gave an extra dose of adorableness last night when he hit up the red carpet of the BET Awards at Atlanta’s Civic Center with his daughter, Heaven. Throughout the show, he was also spotted sitting front row, while getting some love and kisses from the charming 4 year old.

Earlier this year, he gushed to Billboard:

[Heaven is] very intelligent and when she sees me on TV she sings, ‘Ride around and getting it,’ and does her own ad-libs. It’s just fun, man.

2 Chainz daughter is also featured on his album. Her voice can be heard on the intro and outro of a song titled, ‘YUCK’ where she says ‘Yuck Daddy’ [because the song is nasty].
