Highlights From The 2013 BET Awards Red Carpet

“You never know what can happen” was BET’s motto for their awards show this year and they held true to their word last night as celebs hit up the red carpet.  Skin was definitely in as a few celebs like Nicki Minaj, Meagan Good and Ciara showed off abs and boobs in their body hugging dresses, while other fierce chicks like Eve, K. Michelle and Amber Rose (whose dress flew up and exposed all of her goods on the carpet) went for bright and bold colors.

Over on the guys’ side, DJ Drama, J. Cole and Brandon T. Jackson all wore the same ensemble which consisted of a black and gold Versace sweater, black pants and a gold chain. Lucky for J. Cole, he had a change of clothes. How awkward.

This year it was all about the arm candy for the fellas, including Kevin Hart who was spotted showing off his girlfriend Eniko as they hit the red carpet. Big Sean went for Tims and an over-sized shirt last night as he walked the red carpet with his girlfriend Naya Rivera.  She opted for a sequin Emilio Pucci dress and black pumps. Miguel walked the red carpet with his “beautiful woman” Nazanin last night before giving her a shout out during his acceptance speech for Best R&B Pop Male Artist. Dwyane Wade also gave a shout out to Gabrielle Union, who he referred to as “my black queen” as he accepted the Humanitarian Award during last night’s show.  Gabby looked spicy in a Zac Posen dress. Robin Thicke’s wife Paula Patton seemed high as a kite last night while on the red carpet and during the actual show. Ciara was showing off abs and legs in a black leather bra top and pencil skirt combo, while Future dressed in all black. Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa always make for an interesting red carpet moment.  Amber, whose tattoos were noticeably missing, showed all of her goods to the photographers after her dress accidentally flew up.
Amber and Wiz also battled Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia for the Too-Much-Going-On moment.  Get a room!
Meagan Good gave a red carpet moment that all of the fellas could appreciate in this cleavage-exposing dress.  BET probably had no idea she was going to wear that ensemble to announce the Best Gospel Artist category but hubby definitely approves. New mom Tamar Braxton hit the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to her baby boy. The dress would have been beautiful sans the belt. Janelle Monae will never give you less than classy.  She stepped out in a white suit and silver sandals. Brandy broke in a new pair of Priveleged lace up boots as she walked the red carpet in a nude colored lace halter gown.  She also caught up with Jordin Sparks on the red carpet.
La La Anthony rocked the carpet in Lanvin Both Terrence J and Wale suited up in red and black. Black was the color for “Think Like A Man” stars Regina Hall and Taraji P. Henson, as well as Melanie Fiona threw in some white and red and accessorized her look with an Erin Dana Ellie Purse that can be worn five different ways. Eve, Nia Long and India Arie gave the carpet some color in orange, gold and pink dresses.
Erykah Badu was probably too casual for an Awards show, but she has such an eccentric style that she can get away with almost anything.  She rocked the red carpet in blue leggings, black platform boots and and an orange tee. Ashanti brought her mom and sister as her date as she graced the carpet in a beaded gown by Aiishan Ramadan. A bun that was more towards the back would have made this look perfect. We can’t forget Lil Mama!  She looked stunning as she graced the carpet in a black beaded dress.

Diddy On The Fashion At The BET Awards: ‘Did All The Good Stylists Go On Strike?’

Remember those days when guys used to step out in their best suits for Award Shows?  Did suited and booted go out of style?

This year, the men’s fashion at the BET Awards seemed more casual than normal as some of the top artists in the game hit the red carpet in styling that seemed more suited for a video shoot than an Awards Show.   And of course, Diddy did not approve.  While watching the pre-show from the comfort of his home, he tweeted:

With the exception of a few folks like Bobby Valentino, Dwyane Wade, Boris Kodjoe  and Chris Tucker, the guys were definitely dressed super relaxed this year, while flossing in designers like Versace, Givenchy and Alexander McQueen.

Nelly & LaShontae and Karrueche & Chris Brown Attend BET Award Parties

It looks as though Nelly is taking his relationship with model/actress LaShontae Heckard public.  This past weekend, the couple was spotted holding hands as they hit up various BET Award festivities together in Los Angeles.

According to sources, Nelly and Tae have a long history and have been friends for over 10 years. Back in 2005, she had his nickname “MO” (which is also the title of his upcoming album) tatted on her lower back.

If it wasn’t already obvious, Chris Brown and Karrueche are definitely back together!  This Sunday, before Chris’ performance at the BET Awards, Karrueche claimed her territory and put a stamp on it, when she tweeted a photo of the couple hugged up with the caption, “My Baby!  Good Luck Today.”

They were also spotted arriving together at Chris’ official BET Awards after party.

Lauren London, Toya Wright, Maia Campbell & More Attend The ‘Beauty Is Love’ Lounge

This past Saturday, we partnered with Celebrity Makeup Artist Extraordinaire AJ Crimson and hairstylist to the stars Kiyah Wright, for the “Beauty Is Love” lounge in Hollywood, hosted by Lauren London.  The event, held at the Andaz Hotel, celebrated the launch of AJ Crimson’s new line of make up as well as my new beauty & lifestyle brand, XONecole.

Guests of the evening were treated to blowouts provided by Clairol Professional beauty teams and celebrity hair stylist Larry Sims, makeup applications with AJ Crimson Beauty products, lashes by celebrity lash guru Ja’Maal Buster, and manicures by Superstar Nail Lacquer, in addition to product demonstrations from Indique Hair and Muze Hair.

Attendees also enjoyed music by DJ Brandi Garcia and speciality-themed cocktails provided by SKYY Infusions Moscato Grape such as “xoNecole”, “Crimson Cooler” and “Beauty Is Love.”

We really had a good time and everyone looked fab after getting treatments by the beauty staff on site.

Halle Berry PREGNANT At 47 …Uh Oh More Baby Daddy Drama Imminent

It seems Halle Berry doesn’t only have age-defying looks. The X-Men actress also has an age-defying womb.

ABC has confirmed the 46-year-old actress is pregnant, while TMZ reports Berry has been carrying the child of her fiance/co-star Olivier Martinez for at least three months.  Some sources say the actress may have been baby-bumping around a little longer than that; since the couple already knows the child is going to be a boy. Check out the photo below to see what looks like a baby bump when the actress attended the Oscars in February.

Last year, Halle Berry said that her daughter Nahla had been hoping for a younger sibling, so it looks like the movie star granted her wish.

This news will certainly add even more drama to the relationship she has with current baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry, whom she’s currently engaged in a nasty custody battle with over their 5-year-old daughter Nahla.

We hope this time, however, things will go better for the new baby, Martinez, and Berry — who we all know has been plagued with explosively bad relationships.

A couple weeks back Halle Berry confirmed she would reprise her role as “Storm” in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. There’s been no word yet on whether her pregnancy will nuke those plans, however, the movie is scheduled to begin filming this month in preparation for a July 18, 2014 release date.

New Music: Nelly ft. Nicki Minaj and Pharrell – ‘Get Like Me’

Pharrell Williams is giving you classic Neptunes production, circa early 2000s, on Nelly’s latest track, “Get Like Me.”   The two fellas, along with Nicki Minaj have teamed up for the summer banger which features the simple, yet very catchy chorus, “All y’all n–gas wanna get like me.”   A guarantee win for Pharrell who currently has two singles in Billboards Top 5, including Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”
On the track, Nelly gives us a little Ying Yang Twins flavor, by whispering ad-libs throughout the chorus and verses Meanwhile, Nicki, who may very well end up the collab queen of 2013, gets back to the essence of vintage Nicki.  She maneuvers through some crazy wordplay, while taking language lessons from Lil Scrappy (I’m the shizzniyee), speaking some French (Bon voyage, Nicki and Baby, Buns Minaj) and showing some blogger love (Some call me Bitchie, so Necole like me).

Miguel And Mariah Take A Swim In The Sea

Earlier in the day, photos surfaced of the two songbirds looking a little too close while on a smaller-sized boat, but it was all for a music video.  There’s no telling whether the “Beautiful” video is getting a re-up, or if there is a second collab in the works, but what we do know is Miguel is living out a dream right now.  While speaking on their first video, he said:

You know what? It didn’t really sink in until after we were done and then seeing the footage and seeing the video, I was like, ‘Dude, you’re in a video with Mariah Carey!’ I’ll never forget watching her come out the water in the ‘Honey’ video.You just never forget it when you have a crush on a woman when you’re younger. You don’t forget that, and so the fact that she’s on the back of a motorcycle and I’m on the front of it is kind of surreal. It’s just special, man. Moments, it’s definitely moments.

Kim & Kanye Have Picked A Baby Name

It’s been quiet on the Kardashian homefront ever since Kim gave birth on Saturday, and now the streets are buzzing with reports that Kim and Kanye have settled on a name for their baby girl! According to OK! Magazine, little Kimye’s rumored name is Kaidence Donda West.

It seems like there could be some truth to it since we already figured it would be a “K” name, plus Donda is ‘Ye’s late mom’s name and that would be a precious way to pay tribute to her memory. Also, “cadence” is a musical reference that means:

a: a rhythmic sequence or flow of sounds in language. b : the beat, time, or measure of rhythmical motion or activity. 2. a : a falling inflection of the voice.

An insider told In Touch Weekly a few days ago that Kanye wanted to name her ‘North’ but the Kardashians weren’t having it.

“North is at the top of the list of names. They’re not totally sure about it. Kanye loves it, Kim is okay with it. The family doesn’t like it [the name]. They’re going to decide by today [Tuesday].”

Kaidence for the win! That’s such a cute name.

Sources also say that the baby is in an incubator as a precaution since it arrived one month early, and Kanye hasn’t left the hospital since the baby was born.

We can’t wait to see pics! That baby will be stuntin’ in her blinged out stroller with a Jesus piece hanging inside by the time she turns two.
