Rick Rossrecently bought out Philadelphia's Mitchell & Ness store, dropping nearly $10,000 on jerseys and accessories for his Maybach Music team.

The Bawse, who was in town for Meek Mill's "Im' A Boss" video, released a vlog Wednesday proudly showing off his $9, 485 receipt as he attempts to bring the jersey trend back to life.

In addition to buying jerseys, Ross also shows off his new neck wear courtesy of Philly's Joe The Jeweler.

Forbes has released their list of the top earning hip hop artists for 2011, and once again mogul Jay-Z snags the #1 spot for bringing in $37 million in the past twelve months. This is Jay’s 4th time in the last 5 years that he’s taken top billing.
Jay’s high earnings are attributed to his ongoing deal with Live Nation, high partnership with the New Jersey Nets and his 40/40 Club. Of course, profits from his label Roc Nation and his clothing line Rocawear are nothing to snub, either. Plus, his music continues to sell at astronomical figures, with his latest collaboration with Kanye West, ‘Watch The Throne,’ is predicted to bring in half a million sales, with it already taking the #1 spot in 23 countries on the iTunes charts.
While Jay sits pretty in the #1 spot on Forbes, Kanye comes in at #3 with $16 million, following P. Diddy who takes #2 at $35 million. The top ten includes Lil Wayne and Birdman who tie at #4; Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg who all share #6; Akon comes in at #9 while Ludacris closes out the top ten with $12 million.
Beyond the top ten, rappers Wiz Khalifa and Drake share the #11 spot at $11 million, while Nicki Minaj and Swizz Beatz tie at #15 with $6.5 million. Nicki is the first female rapper to ever make the Forbes Cash ‘Kings’ list.

Hype Williams was ahead of his time in the 90's directing cinematic music videos for everyone from Missy Elliott to Nas. His highly-anticipated first movie, Belly in 1998 was a cult classic and finally he's following it up.

Lust, written by Basic Instinct writer Joe Eszterhas, is going into production with a $28 million budget.

Williams' second film will be shot in New York and Miami and is based on a 30-year-old man married to an older Miami-based magazine publisher.

The film is described as "Fatal Attraction in reverse."

Game released the tracklisting for his upcoming album, and from the look of things, The R.E.D. Album should be worth the wait.

The album features some of the biggest stars in rap, including Lil Wayne, Drake, Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler The Creator, Rick Ross, Big Boi and E-40.

And Game must have been feeling the anticipation growing when he tweeted the following message last night:

Obviously, this is a subliminal shot at Jay-Z and Kanye's Watch The Throne.

Reggae icon, Rita Marley, her son, Ziggy Marley and Rohan Marley and other members of their family gave a $100,000 donation to charity: water from 1Love.org, a not-for-profit business created with the Marley Family.

Charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. The funds were partly raised by donations and the family's businesses, The House of Marley personal audio products and Marley's Mellow Mood 100% natural relaxation beverages.

"We are so deeply grateful to have the support of so many fans, friends, and partners to provide access to clean water for thousands of our brothers and sisters in Ethiopia.  The need is so great and time is so short.  1Love.org provides an online home for those who share our family's values and lifelong commitment to better the global community for which we must all be responsible," said Rita Marley.

Miss Albania Lusting After Kanye West?

Miss Albania is back in headlines for her rumored romance with Kanye West, this time for reportedly following his every move in hopes of winning his affection.

As previously reported Angela Martini, Miss Universe Albania 2010, denied reports that she was dating the G.O.O.D. Music head and told Global Grind,

"I find it funny that everyone is talking about me dating Kanye West when he is photographed on the balcony kissing some girl. What man in their right mind would be dating me and kissing some other girl?"

Now according to The New York Post, West has been avoiding the beauty queen even going so far as to ban her from his listening party.

Page Six reports that Miss Universe Albania 2010 was barred from his "Watch the Throne" album launch after-party at the Darby the other night and "cozied up" to one of West's producers so she could attend his listening party at the Hayden Planetarium.

"She eats at his favorite restaurant, Niko, near his SoHo apartment just to bump into him. She says they're in love," a source says.

Martini declined to comment while West's rep didn't get back to Page Six in time.

After years of taking jabs at Jay-Z, we may finally be getting to the root of Game's issue with Shawn Carter.

During a recent interview Game finally confessed that his dislike for Jay-Z comes from his first meeting with Hov, that rubbed the Cali rappper the wrong way.

“I think that's where my short-lived hatred came from," Game said.

"Yeah, man. I had it like that he was just a great dude.

"I grew up off of all Jay's albums, and when I finally met him and he was just, I don't know, he was overly cocky,” he added.

“The way that he played fans - and I'm not saying it to say he's the same person now, that was like seven years ago. This is my own personal experience, so it's not to make anyone hate Jay-Z.”

Game continued by stating that despite being turned off by Jay-Z's attitude and frequent jabs like "Uncle Otis," he has no personal issues with Jay.

“It turned me left. Ever since then, I've been taking little potshots here and there, it's nothing personal,” he said.

While Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane prepare to drop their new project "Ferrari Boyz," Flocka has already started preparing for his new album.

In an interview with Hip-Hop DX, Flocka spoke on his sit down with RocNation rapper J.Cole while guaranteeing his appearance on Flocka's next album.

DX: On J. Cole's “Cost Me a Lot,” he says you were both backstage at a show and talked about the sociological reasons behind rappers wearing diamond chains, is that something that really happened?

"Yeah that's my homie. Yeah, he gon' be on my album. Guaranteed.

Flocka has also teamed up with Tyler the Creator as Interview Magazine took an interesting approach to their feature with Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator when they allowed Atlanta rapperWaka Flocka join in on the interview to ask Tyler some questions of his own.

"I just wanna state, though, that “Keep It Real” is, like, my favorite f*ckin' song by you," Tyler compliment Waka before the interview questions started.

"That's, like, in my top 10 songs ever. That's my sh*t."

"So firstly, what do y'all think is so odd about the future?" Waka asked for his first question.

"I think we're all gonna die pretty soon, and the animals are gonna take over—like ostriches and sh*t," Tyler answered.

Jay-Z's Manager Says "Watch The Throne" Will Not Leak

Despite a rumored leak of Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative Watch The Throne, Jay's manager assures no songs will slip through the digital cracks.

“It is not going to leak,” tweeted John Meneilly. This was a confident statement considering Kanye faced leaking issues close to his release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

As precaution, the digital release date and physical release date were separated, with iTunes being on August 8th, and all other releases landing on August 12th.

Ye and Jay are also preparing to go on tour, which kicks off October 29th in Detroit.

Rick Ross has stepping into a new business venture.

According to AllHipHop.com, Ricky Rozay has made a business agreement with national restaurant chain,Wingstop.

After tasting some lemon-pepper wings from Wingstop, Ross felt in his stomach to invest in the wing joint (no, really, that's how the story goes).

“After tasting Wingstop's signature lemon pepper–flavored wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com.

There's a fat boy joke in there somewhere, but we'll let him live.

Ross will open the first of many Wingstop restaurants in Memphis this Fall.

No word yet on if Triple C's rappers Torch and Gunplay will manage any of the Wingstop restaurants, but Rozay might want to think about that.

Lil Wayne Sued for $15 Million Over Alleged Song Theft

Lil Wayne and YMCMB have been hit with yet another lawsuit.

This time Weezy and company are being sued for $15,000,000 over the hit single “BedRock.”

According to AllHipHop.com:

Done Deal Enterprises, based in Waynesboro, Georgia, filed a lawsuit against Lil Wayne, Young Money Records, and Cash Money Records, in the United States District Court, Southern district of New York, over the song.

The lawsuit, which was filed on August 1st, claims that the rapper stole their copyrighted tune “BedRock,” and incorporated it into the track of the same name, that was eventually featured on the compilation album We Are Young Money.

According to the lawsuit, the single has moved an estimated 3,000,000 copies, while the album has been certified Gold (500,000 sold) by the RIAA.

Lil Wayne has been ordered to appear in court on October 12, 2011.
