Kevin Hart Lands Fox Pilot, Readies Concert Film

Kevin Hart is going from stand up to the small screen in the single-camera comedy pilot for Fox entitled, Little in Common.

Hart will play Ty Burleson, a former Division 2 athlete and sports writer that has transformed into a house-husband coaching youth baseball. The show ties 3 families of different ethnicities together through their kids' little league sports. Rob Corddry stars alongside the comedian in the pilot.

Outside of acting, Kevin is getting his rap career in order as his alter ego, Chocolate Droppacontinues to spit venom on Twitter, “I just dropped 27 bars in my pastor face b/c he said all non-believer meet him at the alter. Don't challenge me in a cipher! REAL RAP RAW!”

Utah Jazz Trade Deron Williams To New Jersey Nets

NBA All-Star, Deron Williams was traded to the New Jersey Nets for Devin Harris, Derrick Favors and two first round draft picks right before the NBA's Thursday deadline.

His agent didn't get a call about the trade and neither did he.

The former Utah Jazz point guard was watching ESPN's Sportscenter in the training room when he found out about the deal. He was stunned and dismayed that he will be leaving Utah.

The secretive move gives some validity to the rumor that Williams was responsible for the sudden retirement of Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan.

The Nets will also receive forwards Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric from the Golden State Warriors in a separate trade that sends forward Troy Murphy to the Warriors. New Jersey will also send $3 million to the Jazz for Williams.

Lil Wayne proved that he is more popular than cookies Wednesday by setting the Guinness World Record for most Facebook "Likes" on a post in 24 hours right afterOreo etched their name in the record books.

Oreo's post went out urging fans to help them set the record for most likes in one day.

Five hours later, Wayne reached out to his 20 million fans on the social network and they responded.

Oreo ended up with 114,619 likes giving them the record and a ceremony in their honor.

When the Young Money general's time was up, he buried the cookie company with 588,243 likes.

There is no word if Wayne had to register with Guinness before the actual feat took place, and a Kraft rep declined to comment.

Mazy Kazerooni, Lil Wayne's digital manager, says that the idea was to show Wayne's social media influence, “I want people to think ‘Bieber, Gaga and Lil Wayne.' The traffic we do is ridiculous and no one really knows.”

The mother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame is speaking out on reports that her son was involved in a North Carolina shooting.

As previously reported, news hit the net yesterday that shots were fired at the rapper's tour bus while he had a stereo system installed at a local North Carolina business.

One assailant was injured when members of Waka Flocka's security returned fire at the individuals, Waka was not harmed.

Now on a six minute long video rant, Waka's mother and manager Debra Antney is discounting the media's attempts to link her son to the shooting because of his famous name.

“It is safe to say we took no part in this. We had nothing to do with this. This was someone else coming up with random shooting doing whatever else it is that they do. Were they even shooting at the bus? Who knows? There were other cars that were hit, but because the bus was hit and it happens to be Waka Flocka, it made good news.”

Dre added that he had "never heard of his headphones" leading the public to draw their own conclusion about his sincerity.

Rapper, Clifford "T.I" Harris spoke to XXL magazineabout his relationship with his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris. T.I is currently serving an 11-month bid for parole violation and had this to say about the formerXscape member:

“Can't say enough about how special of a woman I have.  It takes a lot to endure the worst of times and still stay grounded during the best of times.  She's been able to do so for as long as I can remember. For all that and more, I just adore her in every way.  I love her spirit, her heart, her integrity and her loyalty.  She's the love of my life and the girl of my dreams.

After venting on Twitter yesterday about his perceived misunderstanding with Dr. Dre and Interscope chairmanJimmy Iovine, rap mogul 50 Cent is now claiming him and Jim are back seeing eye to eye.

According to 50 the record label head and Dre were upset with him for his new line of headphones "Sleek By 50" which are direct competition to their popular "Beats By Dre."

The Queens rapper Tweeted this late last night,

“Jimmies not mad at me any more we kicked it. I just have to talk to DRE now.”

Fif then posted this picture of him and the Interscope co-founder.

Carmelo Anthony could have been a Knick Monday if only team president Donnie Walsh were willing to meet Denver’s trade demands, which one team official classified as “steep.”

According to a team source close to the negotiations, “there is a deal to be made” but whether Anthony joins forces with Amar’e Stoudemire in New York between Tuesday and the Feb. 24 trade deadline likely comes down to the Nuggets either lowering their asking price or the Knicks turning over their roster to acquire one of the NBA’s top players.

The Nuggets, according to a source, are asking for three starters – including Danilo Gallinari and Raymond Felton – plus Eddy Curry’s expiring contract and at least one first-round pick. In that proposed deal, Anthony and veteran point guard Chauncey Billups would be coming to the Knicks.

It is believed that Walsh and Mike D’Antoni feel the team would be giving up too much. Garden chairman James Dolan has had direct involvement in the negotiations and may ultimately overrule his basketball staff.

The teams have nine days to play their game of chicken and the Knicks continue to debate if they should trade for Anthony now or take their chances on signing him as a free agent this summer.

This has always been the Knicks problem, pussyfooting. Hard to believe that the same franchise that gave Allan Houston all that damn money is scared to trade for one the top players in the league. GM Donnie Walsh better figure it out soon, that MSG crowd is getting reeeeal restless.

T.I. Sued By Dead Man's Family For Showing Corpse On Show

Clifford "T.I." Harris is being shown No Mercy even though he is behind bars. His now defunct MTV show,"Road To Redemption" was meant to scare youths straight and educate them about the dangers of criminal activities.

However, the first episode titled "You Are Responsible for Your Own Actions", featured T.I visiting The Haugabrooks Funeral Home in Atlanta showing a young man the corpse of an alleged hustler whose face was blurred.

The body belonged to Joseph Williams and the mortician suggested that the family didn't know what happened to their son on the MTV program.

The dead man's father, Joseph Willams Sr. and other relatives expressed that they did not give consent for the body to be televised and the footage shown was done for "financial gain and publicity."

MTV, the funeral home and the incarcerated emcee are all named in the lawsuit which cites mental distress as the reason for them seeking a settlement for an undisclosed amount.

Was Tip just trying to scare the youngster or was it a stunt for ratings that went too far?

After introducing his new "Sleek " by 50 Cent wireless headphones last month, Fifty recently tweeted about the response he got from Dre and Jimmy Iovine:

“Jimmy iovine and dre mad at me cause I'm doing sleek by 50,” he tweeted. “I guess I'm not going to be on detox Lol.”

He continued,

“I'm a little hurt jimmy and dre feel like that but f*ck it. I'm focused I got a surprise for everybody this go round.”

The outspoken hip-hop star didn't stop there, as he continued to rant about why he feels he is being treated unfairly
