Look what we found online! Who Got The Role has unearthed They Die By Dawn, a film that has been a bit obscured from the public — which is kind of strange giving its all-star cast.
They Die By Dawn is
a Black Western film starring an entirely African American cast. The
film comes from the mind of Jeymes Samuel who also directs.
In the
movie, we find four gun-slinging outlaws with a bounties on their
heads. They all set a date for a shootout in Langston, Oklahoma where
one man will be left standing to collect the bounty for all.
The
star-studded cast includes Jesse Williams, Michael K, Williams, Isaiah
Washington, Nate Parker, Bokeem Woodbine, Clifton Powell, Rosario
Dawson, Giancarlo Esposito, and Erykah Badu.
Strangely, the film
is a short and not a feature length. However, from the look of the
trailer below, which was released today, production design and
performances appears to be uniformly excellent. If given the chance, I
believe the film has potential to have a life in theaters. See for
