Chief Keef is back in jail after it was ruled Tuesday that he violated his probation from a 2011 gun charge.
Cook County Juvenile Court Judge Carl Anthony Walker said Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, exhibited a "clear disregard for the court's authority" by appearing with a gun during a 2012 interview with Pitchfork.com at at the West Side Rifle and Pistol Range in New York City
In the video that has since been taken down by Pitchfork, the rapper can be seen firing a semi-automatic Lugar rifle.
His attorney, Dennis Berkson, argued that the video was just for publicity purposes and that Keef was accompanied by representatives from Interscope Records at the time.
"This is no different than if he was in a movie," Berkson said. "It is a movie."
Despite Keef's attorney's arguments the judge wasn't hearing it. The
17-year-old rapper was immediately taken into custody following today's
hearing in Juvenile Court in Chicago. He will be brought back to court
on Thursday.to be sentenced according DNAInfo.com.
