The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were held last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.. Many of the biggest stars in the movie and television industries were in attendance.

Big winners on the night included Quentin Tarantino - Screenplay:"Django Unchained," Anne Hathaway - Supporting Actress: "Les Miserables," Daniel-Day Lewis - Actor, Drama: "Lincoln," Don Cheadle - Actor, Musical or Comedy: "House of Lies" and Jodie Foster - Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.

Chief Keef Locked Up For Violating His Probation

 

Chief Keef is back in jail after it was ruled Tuesday that he violated his probation from a 2011 gun charge.

Cook County Juvenile Court Judge Carl Anthony Walker said Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, exhibited a "clear disregard for the court's authority" by appearing with a gun during a 2012 interview with Pitchfork.com at at the West Side Rifle and Pistol Range in New York City

In the video that has since been taken down by Pitchfork, the rapper can be seen firing a semi-automatic Lugar rifle.

His attorney, Dennis Berkson, argued that the video was just for publicity purposes and that Keef was accompanied by representatives from Interscope Records at the time.

"This is no different than if he was in a movie," Berkson said. "It is a movie."

Despite Keef's attorney's arguments the judge wasn't hearing it. The 17-year-old rapper was immediately taken into custody following today's hearing in Juvenile Court in Chicago. He will be brought back to court on Thursday.to be sentenced according DNAInfo.com.

Keef was originally sentenced to probation in 2011 after being found guilty of pointing a gun at a Chicago police officer. At the time he was charged with four felonies. Three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He also was charged with a misdemeanor for resisting arrest.

Kobe Bryant’s Divorce Would Have Cost Him $1.36 Mil A Month

Kobe Bryant has been keeping a smile on his wife Vanessa’s face ever since she decided to shake him up a bit and file for divorce last year.   The couple were spotted looking super rich and very happy as they made their exit from the Warner Brothers and InStyle magazine Golden Globes after party this past Sunday in LA.

It seems as though Kobe found out real fast that it is definitely cheaper to keep her.  According to California attorney Andrew L. Botros, if the couple had went forward with their divorce, per California law, Kobe would have had to cough up child support for his two daughters as well as spousal support INDEFINITELY as well as a split of all of his properties.

A 10-year marriage is considered a long-term marriage and a California judge can award spousal support indefinitely. Vanessa and Kobe crossed that 10-year threshold a few months before Vanessa initiated divorce proceedings, meaning Kobe might have had to pay spousal support for the rest of Vanessa’s life (ouch).
So what are we looking at in terms of child and spousal support?
According to Forbes, Kobe’s annual income is somewhere in the neighborhood of $53.2 million dollars. Assuming that he has 50/50 custody of his two daughters, Kobe would have to pay somewhere near $365,000 in child support under the California Guideline. He also would probably have to pay somewhere around $1,000,000 in spousal support.
These are not annual figures. These are monthly estimates.
I didn’t mention property division. Kobe and Vanessa were married on April 18, 2001. Under California law, every penny Kobe earned from basketball or endorsements from the date of marriage to the date of separation is considered community property. It’s half Kobe’s and half Vanessa’s. That also applies to every mansion, car, yacht, or private jet that the either party purchased with community money.

Well dayum! That is enough motivation for any man to be on his best behavior and fight to keep his marriage together. That’s some serious business right there.

Tonight, BET is bringing a lot of laughs with the premiere of their new series, Real Husbands of Hollywood at 10pm followed by Second Generation Wayans.  To celebrate the show’s debut, Second Generation Wayans co-stars Tatyana Ali and Damien Wayans were spotted on the red carpet for the premiere party last night in New York City.  Former Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams was also at the premiere.

Other celebs that hit the scene last night included BET’s 106 and Park hosts Miss Mykie, Shorty Da Prince, Paigion and Bow Wow, Love and Hip Hop’s Tahiry Jose, Adrienne Bailon, Po Johnson and more.

Sources close to the Unapologetic singer say she and Chris “are tight” despite a report claiming she and her Los Angeles Dodgers ex had a romantic dinner date in L.A. on Jan. 13, HollywoodLife.com is exclusively reporting.
“She’s not with any other dude,” our source reveals. “She and Chris are tight but sometime a girl just need a little breathing space.”
On Jan. 14, a report surfaced claiming sources spotted Matt at an unnamed Los Angeles restaurant, sitting at the bar by himself. Then, while Matt, 28, continued to wait at the bar for his guest, Rihanna walked in and the two were hauled off to a private dinner table.
Prior to this alleged outing, however, Rihanna, 24,was photographed while clubbing solo on Jan. 13 at My Studio in Hollywood.
“She’s just stepping out on her own for a minute, feeling herself and riding solo,” our source adds.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Rihanna must have had an amazing time inside the Roxbury nightclub in Hollywood on Jan. 10, because when the singer jumped into her awaiting SUV, there were huge dirt spots visible around the singer’s knees and even on her butt!
Rihanna left the nightclub wearing a pink sweater, black heels and a pair of tight black leggings. Perhaps she shouldn’t have worn black leggings because they showed everything, including the stains on both her knees and salt shaker.
Before anyone jumps to any false conclusions, we’ve learned the stains on her pants aren’t dirt, they’re left-over pieces from a napkin.
“There was a drink that accidentally spilled on her and so her people dried it with napkins and the napkin residue left those stains,” a club insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

First Black Female Computer Science PhD Graduates From University Of Michigan

“Typically when you think of someone who is in computer science. you think of a person who is a geek – with pocket protectors, suspenders and highlighter pants,” McMullen joked in a phone interview with theGrio. “African-American women often don’t’ think ‘Okay, I wanna be that [nerd].’”

While McMullen’s graduation this past spring marked a racial landmark for Michigan’s computer science department, she said that her experience in the department was sometimes “isolating” because she had very few people to turn to for mentorship.

“If you’re a black woman who’s interested [in computer science], you think you’re going to be the only person that looks like you,” McMullen said. “Everyone knows Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, but there is really no one famous that is African-American. The lack of role models or even the lack of someone who looks like you is one huge factor that influences why black women don’t pursue computer science.”

However, it wasn’t until her second year at graduate school, where she really felt discrimination.

“My adviser told me, ‘Not everyone is cut out to study computer science. Have you tried any other careers?’ He said I didn’t have what it took to study computer science,” she said. “That was the only time someone blatantly said to me to my face that I couldn’t do something. I can’t assign a reason why he said that, but I’m pretty sure it’s because of the way of I looked… I was really taken back of how dismissive he was about me.”
But despite some minor roadblocks, the 27-year old has been able to fulfill one of her lifelong dreams to walk the stage to receive her graduate degree in computer science this past spring.

NBA Knicks baller Carmelo Anthony is finally speaking out to clear up the immediate break-up rumors that surfaced following his heated (and humorous) altercation with Boston Celtics player Kevin Garnett, who allegedly told Melo that his wife Lala’s milkshake brings all the boys to the yard……cause it “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.”

Sources have told the Daily News that Anthony and his wife have been having marital problems and are living apart. She didn’t show up at the event as expected, but Anthony said there is no trouble in paradise.
“We have our time. We have our down time,” he said. “She works. I work. We make it work. Communication is the key.”

Carmelo also had this to say in response to KG’s below-the-belt jab at his wife, when asked what would be the first thing he eats after recently finishing a 15-day fast:

Datta Phuge Of India Buys $23,000 Shirt Made Of Solid Gold To Grab The World's Attention

Dattatray Phuge has gotten rich and he'll be damned if he doesn't die trying to get the world's attention. The 40-year old landowner from Pimpri-Chinchwad, India paid an incredible $22,754 for a shirt made of solid gold.

Although there have been reports that Phuge made the shirt to attract females, he is already married and did it just to gain attention.


" I own everything right from chains to rings, bracelets, watches in gold. Now, I wanted something that no one would have,” he told Ranka Jewelers of Pune, according to Daily News and Analysis “That’s when Tejpal Ranka suggested making a shirt of gold. Just like Shivaraj Maharaj used to wear a chain shirt while going to war, this garment was to be similar. I didn’t think it was possible but was excited with the idea as it would help us garner international attention,”

It took Ranka Jewelers two weeks, using 15 goldsmiths, working 16 hours a day to make the shirt made of 3.5 kilograms of gold. Phuge thinks the stunt will earn him a place in the Guinness Book or Limca Book of World Records.

It pieces together 14,000 gold spangles interwoven with 1 lakh rings on a specially imported white velvet cloth. It features six Swavorski crystals as buttons and comes with a gold belt. In addition to the gold shirt, Datta reportedly wears 4 kilos of gold on his body in the form of necklaces, bracelets and rings.

"I am a Maharashtrian, a Maratha hence I like to wear and display gold. I got this idea to stitch a shirt made of gold from one of my friends who said that nobody had done it before," Phuge said. "We wanted to do it below 3 kilios, however we overstepped the mark."

Phuge's wife, Seema, said he would only wear the shirt on special occasions.

“At major public events or where he needs to make a statement, otherwise it will stay in the locker,” she said.

Because he wears so much gold, Phuge employs 20 bodyguards to ensure his safety.

“I have been wearing a heap of gold since many years. I am always surrounded by my trusted boys and no one can dare to harm me," he said.
