The average rapper is probably slightly shorter than the average male which would place them around 5 feet and 8 inches. But once in a while there are some hip-hop artists that tower over others.
Sure we wonder what makes someone taller than 6'5" grab a mic instead of a basketball but it happens. Here a few of the spitters that you may have to look up to literally.
Slim Thug isn't really that slim but he is tall. Standing at 6'6" he looks like he could be security for himself.
Nakia "Kia Shine" Coleman smashed the charts with his "Krispy" record some years back and also took home some awards for co-writing Drake's "Best I Ever Had." Most people are surprised when tey see the quiet rapper walk in a room at around 6'5" or more. His dreads may add an inch.
The Boot Camp Click's 6'5" Rockness Monsta has a stature to match his baritone vocals. One half of Heltah Skeltah and Duck Down Records artist, Rock is hard to miss on the stage when surrounded by his cohorts.
Waka Flocka Flame is down with the sky scraping artists. Rumored to be 6'7" he may actually be closer to 6'5" but next to other emcees he sometimes looks giant-like.
Re-Up Gang member, Philly native and one of the original spitters down with Major Figgaz, Ab Livamentions his height once in a while in verses. But it doesn't translate until you see his 6'9" frame on stage directly in front of you that you realize this guy should be on a field somewhere inflicting pain on someone. Then he delivers some bars and you understand why he chose the former over the latter.
Tauheed "Tity Boi" Eppsis not only a part of the group Playaz Circle but he was also a guard on the Alabama State University Basketball team. The 6'5" baller also known as 2 Chainz didn't get much playing time on the court but he landed in the Playaz Circle anyway and gets busy behind the mic.
The rest of these guys aren't particularly hitting their heads on clouds but they do standout from the typical height of rhymesayers. And they all have been noted to do their thing on the basketball court. At 6'4" The Game grew up with NBA vet Baron Davis and maintains his skill as a versatile big man.
Snoop D-O double G has played in a few celeb ball games and shown off his athleticism. He is also around 6'4" and is probably the same weight now that he was in the Deep Cover video where we first saw him.
J. Cole is listed at 6'3" but he may be an extra inch taller. He proved himself on the court (I can vouch for him) and is constantly gaining fans while we wait for his debut.

Bobby Creekwater proclaims that his 6'4" frame contributes to his game on the hardwood. A date has been set to test the gifted emcee's talent outside of the booth...stay tuned.
Feel free to tell us about a rapper we didn't mention that stands tall above the rest.
