It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Chris Tucker on the red carpet.
His last movie Rush Hour 3 was released five years ago, and since
then, we haven’t really heard much from Chris outside of his alleged money
woes. Needless to say, he re-emerged on the red carpet this weekend at
the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival where he attended the screening of
‘Silver Linings Playbook’ with a pretty lady friend (According to
Bitchie Readers she is the former Miss Angola, Micaela Patrícia Reis).
The movie, is Chris’s first role outside of the ‘Rush Hour’ franchise
in 15 years and he plays a character name Danny who is the best friend
of a former high school teacher (Bradley Cooper) who has just been
released from a mental institute. According to, Indie Wire,
his role doesn’t come close to the high pitched, fast talking
characters he played in ‘Friday’ and ‘Rush Hour’. Instead, he brings it
down a few notches and proves that he can really act while sharing great chemistry on screen with Bradley Cooper.
‘Silver Linings Playbook’ will be released this Fall and it also stars Robert Di Nero and Julia Stiles.
This is all too exciting for me! Back in October, I ran up on Chris
Tucker like an overly-excited fan in Washington D.C and that man ran for the hills faster than I could utter ‘Hello’.
