Terrell Owens' bad couple of years have just gotten worse. Aside from falling into a financial abyss, and being sought after for unpaid child support, the football player can now add the words “unemployed” to his bio. According to TMZ, Owens has been dropped from the indoor football team, the Allen Wranglers.
According to team president, Tommy Benizio, the cut was “performance
based,” which hit its peak when Owens missed a team visit to a
children's hospital in Texas.
In recent years the 38-year-old has experienced a steep fall from grace, which he chronicled on his VH1 reality show The T.O. Show. With a career spanning over a decade, Owens worked to rehab his torn ACL in hopes of attracting an NFL team, but settled for the IFL after failing to get picked up by any other teams.
Although Owens has yet to release a statement on the matter, he has been responding to fan comments via his Twitte page.
