As if Jay-Z wasn’t enough for Budweiser, they went and recruited lil’ Miss Rihanna!
According to AdAge.com, the Bajan chanteuse has signed a
deal with Bud’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch that “includes TV
commercials featuring the two stars, limited-edition packaging, digital
executions, out-of-home advertising and sponsorships of Rihanna’s and
Jay-Z’s concerts.” In other words: #phuckyomillerlite.
The first commercial (watch above) follows the theme of the campaign,
which is about “captur[ing] the creative spirit of a global generation,
showcasing the many ways people create.”
While Rihanna is securing lucrative deals with Budweiser, she’s keeping her fans waiting for more than three hours!
Rihanna was set to perform on Wednesday night in Monte Carlo, Monaco
at the ‘Salle des Etoiles’s of Sporting d’ete’ for the 2013 Monte- Carlo
Sporting Summer Festival.
According to Radar Online,
“Fans paid at least $782 (currency converted) for tickets to the
intimate show, which included dinner and was originally scheduled to
start at 8:30 pm, according to information on ticketing websites. But
the show was nowhere near beginning for several hours, and audience
members grew restless.”
Tweets from attendees included:
“Still no news of Rihanna,” @MorganeDK tweeted two hours in. “She got
lost in 2 square km,” referring to the area of the tiny nation.“Are you
lost?” the same user asked. “We’re waiting. … Frankly, this delay is
abuse.”
“Noooo I haven’t been waiting … for 3 hours for nothing, have I?” @Milaudewulf asked. “She’s three hours late.”
Get it together Rih Rih!
