A new image of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger doing their thing in The Tomb has surfaced online.
Both Stallone and Schwarzenegger are on the comeback trail, and after teaming up together for some more glory for old men in Expendables 2, the two action stars have reunited once again on another project.
The Tomb, which hits theaters sometime next year, sees Stallone as Ray Breslin, the world’s foremost authority on structural security. Breslin is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and is sentenced to do hard time in the most secure prison he ever designed. Now he has to figure a way to break out to find the person who set him up. Schwarzenegger will play Breslin’s fellow inmate, Rottmayer.
Schwarzenegger and Stallone worked with a cast that includes 50 Cent, Jim Caviezel, Vincent D’Onofrio and Sam Neil. The film is directed by Jee-woon Kim who is working from a screenplay written by Miles Chapman and Jason Keller.
In the released photo the duo is seen wearing matching prison garb. Arnold looks a lot more grey than usual and sports a goatee look we’ve never seen him do before. This is a very different depiction of the two actors who were photographed earlier this year in the hospital together for shoulder surgery.
The
Tomb is Stallone’s and Schwarzenegger’s latest comeback project, but
the film will certainly be followed by more projects. Sylvester
Stallone will be seen next playing Jimmy Bobo in Walter Hill’s Bullet In The Head,
which hits theaters next year. Arnold Schwarzenegger can be seen again
on January 18th when his other movie with Jee-woon Kim, The Last Stand, is released.
The two actors are currently promoting the Expendables 2, which is in theaters on Friday.
