After close to nine months of separation from wife Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony has finally filed for divorce.
Anthony cited “irreconcilable differences,” as the reason, according to TMZ. Papers were filed April 9 in L.A. County Superior Court, and Anthony is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s children, Max and Emme, both age 4.
The two will still join forces for a live duet during the debut of “Q’VIVA! The Chosen’s” on May 26.
“‘Q’VIVA!’ has been an incredible journey for us,” Lopez told Us. “It fulfilled our vision to share and celebrate the people, the culture, the music and artistry of Latin America though this global broadcast. And now, Q’VIVA! the LIVE show will be the culmination of that journey.”
Anthony and Lopez announced their separation in July 2011. This will be Lopez’s third divorce, and Anthony’s second.
