Nicki Minaj had a serious ATL flashback this past weekend as she
rolled through her old stomping grounds with her manager Manny Halley
and boyfriend Safaree in tow for the Pink Friday Tour Atlanta stop.
Back in 2008-2009, when she was hanging with Gucci Mane and they both
were managed by Waka Flocka’s mom, Deb had her performing all throughout Atlanta in clubs, strip clubs and small venues while she was gunning for her big moment to come. [Back then, Nicki looked a little intimidated by Deb but Deb was getting her that hood money].
On Sunday, it was all love as Nicki hit the stage to perform a scheduled 70 minute show at Fox Theater,
complete with surprises from ATL friends Monica, Bobby Valentino, Lil
Scrappy, Young Jeezy, T.I and Waka Flocka. Rapper 2 Chainz, who did a
few shows with Nicki & Young Money when he was going by the name
Tity Boi a few years ago, opened the show. Backstage, she caught up with
Monica (who she referred to as one of the biggest musical influences in
her life) and Tiny for some girl talk while joking that they looked
like the newest singing group sensation to her twitter followers.
