Petition To Deport CNN's Piers Morgan Because Of His Views On U.S. Gun Control Gaining Steam. 62,000 Signatures & Counting

The petition to deport British CNN host Piers Morgan is gaining steam. The petition created December 21 on the White House e-petition website by a user in Texas accuses Morgan of engaging in a "hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution" by targeting the Second Amendment. It demands he be deported immediately for "exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens."

Within a day or two the petition had 25,000 signatures requiring a response from President Obama. As it now stands there are 62,881 signatures.

Morgan has been outspoken regarding his views that America must do something about it's gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting massacre. He specifically wants assault weapons & high-capacity magazines banned.

Morgan's temper reached a boling point last Tuesday during an interview with gun advocate Larry Pratt on the "Piers Morgan Show." Morgan said to his guest, “You’re an unbelievably stupid man, aren’t you?"

Despite the call for him to be deported, Morgan is not backing down. He has taken to Twitter where he has continued to espouse his views.
