K. Michelle Defends Her Attitude And Performs ‘Can’t Raise A Man’ On The Arsenio Hall Show

K. Michelle has probably heard more times than a few, “You could go so far, if you changed your attitude.” Last night, the Love & Hip Hop star and powerhouse singer was a guest on Arsenio and her diva ‘tude was the topic of discussion as she chatted about how she has been perceived on both the Atlanta and New York versions of Love & Hip Hop.   She expressed:

I realize, when I was walking down the street people would run to the other side, that they might not perceive it as good all the time.
They think I’m mean. But really, if you ask the producers of the show, they will tell you that I was actually the calmest one on the show. I just had the best climax, so that’s what you got to see.

She also added:

I don’t think it’s fair at all because they don’t KNOW me. You know what you see of me at that moment. You will react the same way as me to a lot of those situations. I’m just bold enough to do it in your face and not care. So, those reactions from those blogs and everything, I make their hits go up. So they should thank me and or maybe even send me a check.

The singer also revealed her diverse musical background:

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. I actually grew up loving country music. I play classical piano. I play guitar. My parents would put me in a closet–it wasn’t child abuse so don’t get scared. They’d put me in a closet and it was the biggest closet in the house and I would just sing to the top of my lungs so I always knew I wanted to sing.
I had this vocal teacher named Bob Westbrook. He trained Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, a lot of the Miss America people. When my mother took me to him and said, ‘She wants to sing,’ he said, ‘No offense, but when she goes through these competitions, they’re going to expect her to sing certain things like Aretha, maybe Whitney. How about we try something and introduce her to new music?’ So the first tape I ever got was The Judds. I saw The Judds. I love The Judds. And he taught me how to yodel and then I got a scholarship to Florida A&M University.

Brandy On Rumored Breakup: ‘I’m Not Talking About My Relationship!’

Brandy Norwood painted the town red last night as she stepped out for Essence’s Black Women In Hollywood event in Beverly Hills, but noticeably missing was her engagement ring.

Earlier this month, fans of the singer started inquiring about her relationship status after she showed up at her birthday party without her fiancé Ryan Press, and they notice she was no longer wearing her ring, but Bran has yet to confirm from her own mouth that she’s no longer engaged.

Last night, Hip Hollywood caught up with the singer on the red carpet to get to the real scoop, and Brandy quickly let them know:

I’m not talking about my relationship. I’m here to celebrate powerful women today.

She also added:

I think you just have to speak from your heart and if you want to share [your relationship], great. If not, then that’s your choice.

A year ago, shortly after she got engaged, Brandy revealed in an interview that she had given up on love before meeting Ryan:

I’m very happy. I’m definitely on Cloud 20. At one point I gave up on love, so to have this feeling and for it to be like the first time, with the person that I feel like God has created for me to be with, it feels magical. And I want it to stay like this so every married couple that we have been meeting over our vacation, I’ve been asking them, ‘So what’s the secret?’ They’ve been giving me a lot of great tips. Communication is the key, clearly, so we’ll see what this thing does.

She also asked Gladys Knight for advice during a special appearance on Gladys’ new show on OWN. She revealed:

I struggle with balance… you feel like you’re letting down people you love because your life is all over the place but that’s your purpose. That’s what you’re born to do. I love my fiancé and I just want it all to work. I want us to be a family.

In response, Gladys suggested:

That’s something you have to work out. Love him. Cherish him. Make TIME for him. And you gotta care. It gets heavy sometimes but you can do it.

Relationships are hard work. Hopefully, whatever the couple is going through, it will all work out.

It’s nothing like having to accept that a 20-year relationship has come to its end.

On Monday, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton released a joint statement announcing that they had separated, but according to recent reports, Robin fought up until the last moment for the marriage.  Last weekend, before the news broke, he cancelled three tour dates (in Atlanta, Orlando and North Carolina) to be near Paula, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to save what was left of the relationship.

Last night, his tour resumed in Washington D.C., and his fans were almost in tears as he performed songs that were written for his wife Paula Patton throughout their lengthy relationship.  Before performing “Lost Without You,” he told the audience:

For those who don’t know, my wife and I separated a few days ago. Yeah… I want everyone in here to know that I’m trying to get my girl back.  You know, she told me you should go out there and tell the truth. You should tell them that you are trying to get her back.  She’s a good woman, you know. It’s hard to sit here in front of everybody, but you know what I want you to help me with, I want you to help me with this next song. If you got somebody with you tonight that you love, and you appreciate, hold on tight to them. Take care of them.  I want to dedicate this song to her. I wrote this about her, and I need y’all help to get through it.

Towards the end of the song, he also sang:

When you find someone that loves you! Don’t you give up on that love!

That man loves him some Paula and he’s definitely not ready to let her go. Yesterday, while he was performing in D.C. a flower delivery truck was spotted dropping off hoards of flowers at Robin’s home.

Chanel Iman and Colin Kaepernick Spotted Hanging out In Miami

NFL baller Colin Kaepernick may have his eyes set on model Chanel Iman, but there’s just one problem.  She’s with A$AP Rocky still… or at least we think.

Yesterday, the 49ers quarterback was spotted hanging out and chatting it up with Sports Illustrated’s new swimsuit model while vacationing on Miami Beach.  Later in the evening, Chanel and Colin took the party to the Fontainebleau Hotel, where they lounged outside by the pool.

It could all be so innocent, or the start of something new.

Rihanna Backs That Thang Up On Drake In Paris

 

Drake, can you handle it!  I don’t think you can handle it!

Tonight, fans of Drake and Rihanna, otherwise known as Team AubRih got their whole entire life when Rihanna graced the stage of Drizzy’s “Would You Like A Tour” concert in Paris. The singer joined Champagne Papi on stage to perform “Pour It Up” and their 2012 hit “Take Care.” Of course when it comes to Drake and Rihanna, it’s never as simple as just singing.

The former lovers got their flirt on with Drake serenading Rih, and she returned the favor by backing that thang up. It was the first time the two have ever performed the track together live.

The two have been kicking it heavy since Rihanna arrived in Paris this weekend, and Drake was even spotted leaving a jewelry store after picking up a few gifts.

Make of that what you will!

Platonic friends, cuddle buddies, girlfriend and boyfriend, or whatever they decide to do, they are cute. And Rihanna looks happy.

Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin were caught catching a flight out of LAX this weekend. The beautiful couple were on their way to Nashville, Tennessee to take part in a relationship summit. They’ve really transformed themselves into faith-based relationship gurus. In fact, they even have a book entitled, “The Wait,” coming out later this year.

Over in New York, Kim Kardashian looked as though she was heading to Fashion Week as she stepped out with Kanye in a Céline coat, silk blouse and trouser combo. This get up would make Olivia Pope proud. Just stunning!

Kim Kardashian was also giving coat envy earlier in the week as she left her New York City apartment with Kanye in a Tom Ford fur coat.  The couple is currently filming the 10th season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Last night, Basketball Wives LA star Draya Michele, and her football player Orlando Scandrick were a matching couple in black as they hit up the Los Angeles premiere of “Non-Stop.”

John Legend’s wife, model Chrissy Teigen, was working it for the cameras this weekend as she when the couple took a stroll around Miami Beach with their dog. The pair are currently gracing the March/April issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine together, and most recently, Chrissy appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She’s getting those legit model supermodel checks!

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton Call It Quits

Another celebrity marriage bites the dust!

After nine years of marriage (and a total of 20 years together), ”the greatest love of the century and most functional, dysfunctional marriage in Hollywood,” according to Robin Thicke, is ending. The soulful Grammy-nominated singer and his wife Paula Patton have separated.

Today, the couple made the announcement to People Magazine:

We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.

Coincidentally, the news comes a month after Robin Thicke was involved in a photo scandal with an unidentified woman in Paris.

Back in September, he told Star Magazine:

I knew she was special the night I met her. I was only 14, but she was already the most special girl. As a relationship progresses, you fall in love again in so many deeper ways. You realize that you need each other and you can’t live without each other.

He also revealed to Howard Stern in an interview last year:

I think subliminally, [because] my dad was so good at everything – He was very charming, he was very beloved. he was getting all the chicks – but yet he wasn’t very good at marriage. So, the one thing I said to myself [that I knew I could] beat my dad at, I’ll beat him at a relationship. I’ll make my relationship last longer than he did, and that will be the one thing in my life that I did than my pops.

When you’ve put that kind of time in a relationship, it seems as though it would be hard for a split to last long. Perhaps, this will be just a brief break and the time apart will only make their love grow stronger.

Shonda Rhimes Throws A Baby Shower For Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington and her big ol’ beautiful baby belly went from being glammed up on the NAACP Image Awards red carpet on Saturday to having a lavish, star-studded baby shower at Shonda Rhimes’ house on Sunday. The soon-to-be mama’s husband Nnamdi Asomugha missed out on the party, but she had 60 friends and family including her mom, her sisters-in-law Chisara Asomugha and Udo Asomugha, her mother-in-law Dr. Lilian Asomugha, Diahann Carroll, Cicely Tyson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jane Fonda, Regina King and Scandal co-star Darby Stanchfield gather in Hancock Park yesterday as they celebrated under a canopy in Shonda Rhimes’ backyard.

According to UsWeekly, it all started at 11a.m. with drinks and appetizers, and Kerry came comfortable in a light blue denim A Pea in the Pod maternity dress paired up with adorable nude heels.

Jane Fonda blogged about the party and said although they had fun, there were moments that had everyone crying:

Today I was at Kerry Washington’s baby shower. She’s 7 months pregnant and looking radiant. It was a wonderful party with guests being asked to go into a photo booth and take 6 different poses that were then mounted on a black paper where we could write a message; signing a diaper (I wrote “I hope everything comes out alright!”), putting signed thumb prints onto a drawing of a tree—I had no idea there could be so many nice ways to commemorate the up-coming event and leave loving memories for mom and baby.
I hadn’t seen Kerry since she was pregnant and as soon as I saw her with her gorgeous belly I starting crying. Then Kerry’s mother spoke, giving words of wisdom to Kerry and the rest of us about how to raise a baby to be a happy, fully realized, person. I started crying again (and it wasn’t because I wanted to go back and do my own raising of my own kids all over again with more wisdom, though that did press in on me) . . . it was because her words moved me.

 

Nas, Kelly Rowland & Fantasia Rock Celeb Studded Hennessy Super Bowl Afterparty

Kelly Rowland brought her kisses and fabness to Spring Studios in NYC last night for an epic Super Bowl after party hosted by Hennessy.  And Mr. Hennessy himself, brand spokesman Nas, also rocked the stage.  Pics and video of the celebs who came out to party inside...

After the Seahawks copped the Vince Lombardi trophy, celebs and fans took the party to Soho as Hennessy celebrated year three of their “Never stop. Never settle.” campaign.

Both Nas & Kelly, who rocked a sexy GERLAN Jeans t-shirt dress and thigh high boots, hit the stage to perform with their live bands, while the rest of the night’s soundtrack was provided by DJ Mark Ronson.  

Beyonce and Jay-Z were there to support their homies, and so were plenty other celebs.

Kelly even brought out Fantasia to rock their "Without Me" single.

And the Houston hottie posed it up on the carpet beforehand looking gorge as usual.

  

Nas pulled a Joe Namoth and rocked his fur before taking the stage.  The spokesman was also celebrating 20 years of his hit album Illmatic.

The Carters headed straight from MetLife stadium, where they were spotted in a VIP suite at the Super Bowl, down to SoHo over to the after party:

Keyshia Cole SLAPPED With $162K TAX LIEN!

Keyshia Cole owes the IRS a huge amount of money.  Find out how much inside....

Uncle Sam filed a lien in Georgia against "Let It Go" singer Keyshia Cole.

According to Radar Online (who published the documents), the lien was filed on November 25 and based on the feds claim that she failed to pay taxes in 2009. So what are they claiming she owes? The tab is allegedly $162,158.93!

The IRS claims Keyshia made a lot in 2009 when her headlining A Different Me Tour had a profitable time on the road.

“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all Uncle Sam property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of the taxes and additional penalties, interest and costs that may accrue.”

We reach out to Keyshia's management and have not received a response.  We hope Keyshia takes care of this very soon and doesn't find herself behind bars like Fat Joe and Lauryn Hill did.

BALL OUT! Beyonce, Jay Z & Super Bowl Champ Russell Wilson Chop It Up Courtside At The Nets Game!

The Carters may not have an official stake in the Brooklyn Nets any longer, but they're still staunch supporters.  Former minority owner Jay Z and wife Beyonce braved the NYC snowstorm to hit up the game Monday night at the BarclaysCenter.  And they were spotted chopping it up courtside with the new Super Bowl champ Russell Wilson.
