Last night, Ludacris
kicked off LudaWeekend 2013 with a private party at Del Frisco's
Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. And all his celeb friends were there to
celebrate.
Producer Swizz Beatz,
looking clean in his white dinner jacket, was in town to support the
annual weekend which includes several community initiatives.
This year, LudaDay Weekend features a
celebrity basketball game, (Team Luda vs. Team Usher), a youth day at a
Braves baseball game at Turner Field, a giveaway of 20 new cars to
underprivileged families, and scholarship donations to Morehouse College
& Clark Atlanta University.
Actor Larenz Tate, whom we loved on "House Of Lies", came out to support.
Singer Bobby V was there. Remember the short-lived Bobby V sex tape scandal that we know he hoped would make his career relevant?
"Lifestyle Specialist" (whatever that means) Kenny Burns posed with Swizz and Luda.
The kickoff event also honored Kamp Kizzy, the philanthropic foundation of Keshia Knight Pulliam. And she kept it hot in her blue & black trimmed contrast dress.
Former "BBW" star Laura Govan is working on a new reality show with his sister Gloria about their family life. So she popped up in all black.
Music industry executive and producer Shanti Das wore a nice floral print.

mesh bodysuit with a pair of bright fuchsia trousers and some simple
black sandals. She knows what works for her body.
Earlier this week, she talked to ABC News about her new initiative, "Empowered" where she dialogues with women around the US who are living with HIV. She told ABC,
"Talking about HIV-AIDS, you know, it’s critical and it is our generation’s issue and if we don’t talk about it now, it’s going to continue. We tend to have a good international dialogue, like a good, healthy dialogue, but we’re not really discussing it in America. … We have to learn as much as we can and we have to share with as many people we can.”
And during her set, she brought out R&B crooner Maxwell for their "Fire We Make" duet.

Newlyweds Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose stopped Angie Martinez’ show on
Hot 97 for their first joint interview since their wedding. The couple
talked about their wedding, the Miley Cyrus VMA performance, and Amber’s infamous twerk video. Interestingly, Amber revealed that her new manager is Miley's mom! Who knew?

Amber: It was better than what I thought it was gonna be.
Wiz: It was beautiful. I’m so proud of my baby for what she did. She put all of that together and everybody’s ranting and raving over every little detail.
Amber: I don’t think you understand how much I love this man. I cried my eyes out.
On Miley Cyrus’ VMA performance:
Wiz: Young, wild, and free. You gotta let people do what they wanna do.
Amber: We love Miley. She’s a real sweetheart. Miley’s mom is managing me now.
On her pre-wedding twerk video:
Amber: He peer pressured me into putting that video out completely and I was like, “Fine, I’ll do it.” And the next day Cam was like, “Oh shit. You put out a freakin’ twerk video.”
Wiz: I was just like, “What did you do that for?” I was just like, “Is that what you really want to do?”
On Wiz’ love for weed:
Amber: I’ve never seen him not high. I don’t know what he’s like not high.
Wiz: I wasn’t high when we signed our marital papers.
Shortly after the wedding, Wiz headed back in the studio to work on his next album, Blacc Hollywood, due later this year. The couple will take a proper honeymoon at a later date.

Lamar Odom ARRESTED For DUI!
Lamar Odom's
down turn continues as he was arrested early this morning in the San
Fernando Valley. And he was booked for a DUI after showing obvious
signs of intoxication...of some sort.

After going too slow (50 mph) on the 101 Freeway at 3:45am PST, Lamar
Odom was stopped by Highway Patrol. And everything went completely
downhill from there.
According to TMZ,
CHP noticed clear signs of Lamar "driving under the influence of drugs
and/or alcohol," and he failed all sobriety tests. He refused to take
to any chemical tests once he was booked.
It took Lamar driving 3 exits before he actually decided to pull over once he saw and heard the sirens and flashing lights.
As of now, Lamar is being held on $15,000 bail.
Lamar has been in the news lately for an alleged crack addiction. And supposedly his wife, Khloe Kardashian Odom, is on the verge of splitting but is making a last ditch attempt to help him.

If you are a frequent user of Vine, then you are probably familiar with the “smack cam” phase that has taken over the social network. The videos normally features mischievous teens who smack an unsuspecting person extremely hard and posts the video of the reaction for a few thousand likes. Some people find it super funny, others find it extremely disturbing.
Former Basketball Wives LA star Laura Govan thought it would be funny to do a smack cam recently and the unsuspecting person on the receiving end was her hubby Gilbert Arenas. In the video, she runs up behind him with a handful of whip cream and smacks the dog sh-t out of him before running for her dear life. He looked stunned for a few seconds but his reaction afterward is left to be desired.

Did Jamie Foxx call out Jay Z, Kanye West and other entertainers at the March On Washington?
Earlier this year, when social activist Harry Belafonte expressed
that he feels as though Jay Z, Beyonce and ”other high-profile artists”
have turned their back on social responsibility, there was huge
controversy surrounding his statements, and it eventually led to Jay
responding in an interview with the infamous line, “My presence is
charity.”
Although most celebs backed off from speaking out or choosing sides,
Jamie Foxx seems to share the same sentiments as Harry Belafonte and
believes that entertainers definitely should be doing more! Yesterday,
while celebrating the 50th Anniversary
of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech in Washington,
D.C., he took to the podium and delivered a touching speech that
co-signed Harry Belafonte’s statements and encouraged entertainers to
step it up, especially Jay Z, Beyonce and Kanye West.

I’m here to celebrate what Dr. King did 50 years [ago], I’m not even probably going to read from the teleprompter because I’m just going to speak from my heart. I’m going to tell you right now, that everybody my age and all the entertainers, it’s time for us to stand up now and renew this dream. That’s what we got to do. I was affected by the Trayvon Martin situation. I was affected by Newtown and Sandy Hook. I’m affected by those things, so it’s time for us now to pick up. Harry Belafonte saw me at the Image Awards and he asked me what am I willing to do. He took it a step further and we went to dinner and my daughter who is 19 years old –I said, ‘Listen, if you want to get inspired, come listen to this man speak.’ When I sat with Mr. Belafonte, he asked my daughter, ‘How old are you?’ And my daughter said, ’19.’ I said, ‘Mr. Belafonte what were you doing at 19?’ He said, ‘I was coming home from World War 2 and when I got back to America I wasn’t allowed to vote. I love America, but I realized I had more work to do. So myself, Al, Jesse, and Martin, we marched.” I said, ‘Wait a minute man, you sound like you’re naming a boy band group, what do you mean? Who are these guys’ names?’ He looked at my daughter and said, ‘Martin Luther King, have you heard of him?’ We sat there and we cried.
What we need to do now, is pick it up now so when we’re 87 years old talking to the other young folks we can say, ‘It was me, Will Smith, Jay Z, Kanye, Alicia Keys, Kerry Washington,’ and the list goes on and on. Don’t make me start preaching up here. Last but not least, I have to recognize Mr. Berry Gordy and not only did Harry Belafonte bail Martin Luther King out of jail so that he could march he also paid for all of Coretta Scott-King’s bills as long as she was on this planet.

This isn’t the first time Jamie has referenced Harry Belafonte in a
speech while expressing that he believes he should be doing more as an
entertainer. This year, during his NAACP Image Award acceptance speech, he said:
I had so many things I wanted to say, but after watching and listening to Harry Belafonte speak, sometimes I feel like somehow I failed in being caught up in what I do, but I guarantee you that I’m going to work a lot harder man.

Just in time for his Budweiser Made In America festival kicking off this Saturday in Philly, Jay-Z just dropped his brand new video for "Holy Grail" ft. his Legends of Summer homie Justin Timberlake.

made it a seamless collabo effort. In the vid just released via
Facebook, Jay is seen in a dark warehouse-like space contemplating the
need for the drug of fame. And Justin is seen in front of a car--that
is set on fire--singing about the ups and downs of the business.
The vid gets chopped and screwed on some parts for emphasis, and ends with a mountain of cups of champagne "runneth" over.

2013 MTV VMAs RED CARPET: 2 Chainz, Ashanti, Rihanna, J-Hud, Robin Thicke & Paula Patton, Rita Ora & Tons More
Never thought we'd say this, but Rita Ora gave us life on the carpet. And was pretty much the only one to do so. Outside the Brooklyn Barclays Center in front of MTV's Brooklyn Bridge replica, the "R.I.P." singer hit the carpet in this striking Alexandre Vauthier Couture ensemble.
The look was complete with a sequin long sleeved deep plunging top, a folded over black & white waist and a dramatic feather skirt with an exaggerated train and a slit up to the whoohah. But she pulled it off fabulously, esp. with the short blonde bob and black & gold ankle strap Louboutins.
Yep, loving it. Something we would actually expect from Rihanna, who showed up in jeans and a tee.
She strutted through the Barclays center after jetting through the red carpet in an MC Lyte "Gotta Get A Ruff Neck" tee, her own Rihanna for River Island jeans, and a Lynn Ban diamond cuff.
Ashanti popped up in her signature high slit curve hugging gown by Michael Castillo paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.. This seafoam green look is all the rage for the season.
And she pulls it off nicely.
The Smith kids made their way to the red carpet after been driven there with dad Will. Willow kept it trendy in denim G-Star overalls paired with a vintage ‘The Runaways’ tee and Givenchy ‘Shark Lock’ wedge booties. Must be nice to be wearing Givenchy before you even hit your teenage years.
Her big brother Jaden rocked a simple Alexander Wang black tee, his own MSFTSrep’s signature jogging pants and Nike sneakers.
Big Sean and girlfriend Naya Rivera showed up in all black. Naya rocked a vintage Paco Rabanne cut out dress for a sleek look. And Sean looked like he was playing dress up in his uncle's clothes, as usual.
