The toughest part of watching HBO's Hard Knocks is
watching players get cut during training camp. Last night's episode was
made especially tougher given the circumstances surrounding Chad Johnson. After allegedly head-butting his now-estranged wife Evelyn Lozada, Johnson was arrested for domestic violence and had his VH-1 show about him and his new wife cancelled.
The s**t really hit the fan when he was dropped from his team, the Miami Dolphins. In any other event, a release is handled very discreetly but with his team being HBO's subject on Hard Knocks, let's
just say this isn't the easiest thing to watch. This might be the end
of the road for the Johnson, who was at one time one of the NFL's most
explosive and productive wide receivers. His options were already
limited at the beginning of the year after being let go by the New
England Patriots, but with the circus that now surrounds his life it
will take a small miracle for Johnson to make any NFL team. Watch last
night's footage from HBO's Hard Knocks as coach Joe Philbin broke the
news to Johnson.
