With
a burgeoning  television career and bigger paychecks coming in, it
seems Steve Harvey doesn’t have any time to travel around the world
making people laugh anymore.
After more than 27 years entertaining
people on stage, the actor, comedian and, radio host has decided to end
 his stand-up comedy career.
On Thursday,  Steve Harvey will
conclude a cross-country farewell comedy tour with his  final
performance ever, which will be available on TV via Pay Per View and
Video on Demand.
The entertainer’s final performance will take
place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena  and kicks off this year’s Ford
Hoodie Awards.  Co-founded by Harvey, The Ford Hoodie Awards is a
four-day annual show that honors local businesses, schools and religious
 and community leaders.
“The road to this final show has been an
amazing journey, doing stand-up for the past 27 years, and I can’t thank
fans enough after reflecting on all those years on stage,” Harvey said
in a statement, promising that his final performance “will be bigger
than any show I’ve done so far.”

Harvey is the current host for the Family Feud game show and is  the voice of the radio program The Steve Harvey Morning Show.
The
comedian is best known for touring alongside Bernie Mac and Cedric the
Entertainer as one of the Kings of Comedy and broke into the mainstream
with his 1996 sitcom The Steve Harvey Show, which aired on WB for six seasons.
Harvey
also penned the bestseller “Think Like A Man, Act Like A Woman,” the
book that inspired this years romantic comedy blockbuster ” Think Like A
 Man.”
Besides the Family Feud and his radio show, the comedian
will be hosting a syndicated daytime TV talk show titled  Steve Harvey,
which debuts on  September 4th.
