Chief Keef was
already bubbling on the Chicago streets thanks to some local hits but
in particularly the Young Chop-produced anthem "I Don't Like." Of all
places, a Gawker story raised his profile on the Internets but it was surely Kanye West remixing the song
with a bunch of his G.O.O.D. Music cronies, and Jadakiss, that raised
the Chi-town teen's hype factor. However, the Interscope rapper feels
that Yeezy didn't have much to do with his current success. According to
Keef, via Twitter, he made himself hot.
