Chris Brown Gets Unexpected Support Against Jail Time For Hit-And-Run Charge

Chris Brown hit-and-run could land him in jail for four years Chris Brown’s hit-and-run charge landed him in hot water with the D.A. on Monday as he faces a possible four-year jail sentence, but it has also earned him unexpected support after the victim attempted to drop the charges.
The probation sentence from the 2009 domestic abuse case involving Rihanna may still be lingering around, but it seems as if the public has already completely forgiven the young R&B star.
When the victim of the alleged hit-and-run, Olga Gure-Kovalenko, found out that the tattooed singer would be facing serious jail time for the minor accident, she suddenly decided to drop the charges.
According to her lawyer, Freddy Sayegh, she doesn’t want any money for the incident since there were no injuries sustained and the damage to her car was minimal.
Unfortunately, it may not be completely up to her. TMZ learned that the LA City Attorney doesn’t want to drop the case and has objected to the filing made by Brown’s attorney to have the case dismissed.
The LA City Attorney hasn’t managed to make any direct contact with Olga about her decision and until then, the case will move forward on July 23.
The legal tango with Olga should be the least of his worries, however, because it’s the DA who is ready to toss the “Fine China” singer in the slammer for up to four years.
Chris Brown probation revoked, closer to four year jail sentence
His probation has already been revoked, which means he is one step closer to being charged for a violation of probation.
Despite doing their best to fight the motion to revoke his probation, Brown and his legal team weren’t successful. But they did gain a new ally who is ready to help keep the young crooner out of jail – Olga’s lawyer.
Apparently the hit-and-run victim has been very adamant that she doesn’t want him going to jail over the accident when it didn’t even do as much as scratch the paint on her car.
Her lawyer will be present in court to support Brown and tell the court that his client doesn’t want the charges to result in jail time.
While the legal documents from the D.A. accuse Rihanna’s ex of “willfully and unlawfully” breaking the law, he took to Twitter to argue otherwise.
“I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run… I provided the correct info,” he tweeted. “There were no injuries or damages. C’mon!!”
He has been released for now and will probably find himself snuggling up under his girlfriend Karrueche Tran again, as they wait to find out if Breezy will have to serve time behind bars.
