Jay Z must’ve really had some fun in the sun over Memorial Day weekend because the 44-year-old mogul was spotted in New York City today looking sun-kissed in his first public appearance since his trip to the Hamptons. And if current reports are true, Jay may have needed the vacay.
The New York Daily News are reporting that Jay and his longtime business manager, John Meneilly, have gone their separate ways. While sources say Jay essentially fired John and that he didn’t want to leave, others say the split was amicable.
Either way, John was part of the rapper’s “day one” crew and was very instrumental in launching his Rocawear clothing line, Roc Nation brand and the historic Samsung/Magna Carta Holy Grail deal. So if true, it’ll definitely be interesting to see what Jay does next without his right hand.
Meanwhile, on the home front, crazy rumors continue to spread in an attempt to tarnish the Carters’ picture perfect image. First, the rumors alleged that Jay was cheating on Beyoncé with Rachel Roy (which caused the Solange fight) and now Beyoncé is allegedly cheating on Jay with her bodyguard Julius.
According to Star Magazine (side-eye central),
“Jay definitely thinks that there was and may still be something romantic going on between Bey and Julius,” an insider tells Star of the hip-hop mogul, whose own rumored cheating was the reported cause of Solange’s attack. “He wanted to fire Julius last February, but Beyonce said, ‘Julius isn’t going anywhere.’Despite being subject to numerous cheating rumors himself, Jay is, nonetheless, “very jealous” of his wife’s friendship with Julius — and friends believe he may have a reason to be.“They’ve spent a lot of time together behind closed doors,” the source explains. “He’s even stayed in her hotel room.”
